j = jump, usually referring to jumping forward

NOTES

After each combo you will notice there are 3 damage values. These represent the damage values that correspond with how many trait shells you have loaded at the beginning of the combo. The only 3 options are 0, 1, and 2. An x means the extra trait shell isn't used, causing no extra damage. Low shot combos require at least 1 trait shell loaded which is why you'll see an x in the first damage value field for those combos. After the damage values you will see things like "position reversal," "full screen," etc. These are notes about the combo's usefulness. Lobo has the luxury of being able to end almost all of his combos by putting the opponent exactly where he wants them. He can put them on either side of the screen, close or far away.

Guys yesterday I was saying in the other combo thread that the b12, d1 command grab combo wasn't that hard actually. I wasn't playing Lobo that much before his patch but a friend who always played him told me that it looks easier since the patch.

Can you try and confirm it please.

*Combos that start with "B2U1" are used for jump ins and when the opponent is getting up from the ground. This is because of the slow start up of the string.

*I think it's a waste of your trait if you use both nuclear shells for one combo. The second nuclear shell adds only a few percent more damage. Save the second shell and use it for something better like a trait combo or pump shots.

I'd say BGB is a better abbreviation (I've never seen "3D"), but 3D could easily be confused with D3, whereas I was easily able to figure out what BGB meant
Good point... something to point out though is when you refer to a directional movement in fighting games, it is typically typed as a lowercase letter if it is a tap "d3" or an uppercase letter if the direction must be held "D3".

I like to use "Int" or "INT" so it refers to the Interactable button as it is listed in the game's button configuration.

I think that too many acronyms tend to confuse newer players and I had no idea what BGB meant when I read it and I've played the game since February.

this was my bounce b12 combo of choice before patch, I believe it does 55% while traited now (probably 50% wo trait, if someone would be kind to verify the numbers)

b12~MB bb, j2, b2u1, 12 1+3 (47%/54%)
(or hook charge ender for 53% less and better oki)

I've also noticed that b1 into background bounce works every time now, so maybe we could do some neat stuff with that too

I assume, because I was doing this, with two nuke shells you get the chance to use both in a combo by ending with db2. I've started preferring sacrificing damage recently by ending in charge or 12,1+3 to keep them close.

However it should be noted that lobo has more options if he is full screen now.

I know isn't it better to end with hook charge to be within range for the grab on knockdown? You can also dash dive bomb or dash block a wake up, dash pressure or dash cross up j2.

I use it primarily to push them to the corner and reload.

Now that Lobo can threaten you with 28% unclashable damage for flinching or armor through most zoning tools from mid-screen, I think that ending in Space Hook isn't that bad an idea anymore.

Any tips for hitting the B+3 in combos after his MB Czar Toss? I can do it everytime on a naked Czar toss, but for example, when I try to do b+2,U+1, 1,1,3~MB Czar Toss, b+3....I only hit it about 25% of the time on a good day. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately it's just one of those things you have to practice. Any time I go for a b3 mid-combo I just try to hit it as early as possible. My trick is to use the ending animation for mb toss as a visual cue.

Puts them in the corner and gives you a free trait reload.
