Still downplayin johnny post patch? Boi...At this point everybody had surpreme dirt.
God forbid he has guaranteed chip and ghetto mixups when half the cast had safe 50/50s and just as much chip with low execution.
Sub community has always made out their character as bad because hitbox fuckups and characters with disjointed hitbox's.
JC community from what i saw was just defending the fact he wasnt a top 5 1 touch death machine like he was made out to be.
Johnny has in no patch ever been a clear top 5 contender.
He might have been at some point at the start, but nobody was playing him to his potential so it was never an issue.
He was top 8 in the last patch and because he hadnt been changed much people made out he was always this good and the jc community were crybabies, forgetting all the character changes around him and the fact it took most players months and months to play him close to his potential.
After the dust had settled with the last patch absolutely nobody was downplaying him.
Sub community has perma downplayed.
I've played a Johnny with good neutral, and I've played one who is good at jailing. Shit is hilarious. Either you have fast armor or you block and pray.
It doesn't matter he wasn't played to his full potential. I've seen what he can do when he jails and what he can do in general. Dude was fucked up, and that's no excuse using the he never made top 8 thing.
Sub zero community never downplayed. You've prolly read stream chat when watching sub face his horrible match ups or listened in on one of Brady's trolling moments. We all knew how we can fuck shit up in the corner. But it's a night and day difference from pre patch. Sub zero is amazing now, and he finally works properly. That's the big deal. So we can talk about nerfs. Nerfing sub and leaving him as he was pre patch is dumber than the nerf Jax got to his dash punch.
But talking to a Johnny player it's a whole different argument since we looked like downplayers since the mu was bad. I understand where you're coming from there
