Since TYM is dead af and 75% of the traffic is casuals from reddit, I'll make all the KK basic threads myself.

So far the bnbs are:

His meterless damage is very acceptable imo. I went with Kollector initially but didn’t like his playstyle. Kotal seems rather strong in the neutral as well. The speed/range on his F24 is something the opponent always has to respect.

Thanks for starting this thread...I’ll be mailing Kotal most likely until the DLC drops (assuming it’s real).
 
It would seem Kahn Cut is basically essential at this point... without it is there anything interesting apart from the B22 string?

Oh wait does either tournament variation have both choke and cat thing?
No.

He can corner combo with 221. You can easily get a 12ender (throw or sword saw depending on variation) and I'm sure you could probably throw in a staggered 1 or so

Here are some I use:

Without Krushing Blow
  • fastest punish: 12xdf2/ 12xbf4
  • 2nd-fastest punish, more range: f12xdf2 / f12xbf4
  • midscreen, right beside opponent: b22 34xdf2 / b22 34xbf4
  • midscreen, farther from opponent: b22 f12xdf2 / b22 f12xbf4
  • corner: 223 d1 d1 f12xdf2
  • corner2: 223 d1 34xdf2

It's literally the exact same ender, no complicated combos.

What do you mean optimise man, the character is drier than stale bread, the exact same ender to pretty much everything is all he has.
For example, after a d2 KB, should I do s1 f12 or b22 or 34 etc, which option is best for damage, best for positioning, that’s what I mean

In cat variation it doesn't matter, you just end with cat.

In command grab variation its grab for damage, any hard knockdown string for the knockdown.

I have found that in some cases, ending with cat doesn’t work and you’ll whiff which has huge recovery, not sure if other people have noticed this
