What I think this might be is that the Towers of Time will have some towers that are blacked out or locked and you have to get the battlepass to access them. They'll probably be a little longer/harder than usual and you have a 100% chance of getting Elder gear, or whatever the rarest ranking is, as a reward. This sounds like paying money to get better costumes/gear, which I don't like the sound of, but I guess we'll see.
