Kombat Cup Week 7 Results Feat. SonicFox, Tweedy, RevetLeafing, Scar and more

It has become quite clear that as every week of the Kombat Cup goes by... the competition becomes more and more fierce. With very recognizable players making top 8 and even winning most of them i.e. Sonic Fox, the Kombat Cup has become an event that we all look forward to every Sunday and Wednesday.

I will say that, for some players who haven't made it as far as others throughout the Kombat Cup so far... those players showed up tonight.

Below are the results of week # 7:

Upset # 1 of the night: Noble Tweedy (Kenshi) vs GTG Semiij (Mileena/Smoke) 3-0. Tweedy takes Kombat Cup week # 6 Champion, Semiij 3-0 w/ Kenshi.



RevetLeafing (Tanya) vs Noble Dragon (Kitana) 3-1

Upset # 2 of the night: PG Scar (Smoke) vs Sonic Fox (Sektor) 3-1. Scar eliminates SonicFox! This is the FIRST week that SonicFox didn't make it to Grand Finals!


Noble Tweedy (Kenshi) vs RevetLeafing (Tanya) 1-3 - RevetLeafing's 2nd week in the Kombat Cup and he goes to Grand Finals!

That grand finals was a perfect example of why online tournaments are a joke. That lag was abysmal in the grand finals. There are tons of players in the Kombat Cup playing on shitty wifi,gatekeeping good/better players.

When people assume that it was Revet's connection, but it was most likely Scar's.

Revet's wins over me, Dragon, Rye and Red Raptor were clean as fuck this week. His haters just have to hold that.

Salty I didn't win but Revet is really good. Our set could have gone either way.

Great top 8. Shame about the lag in GF but that is one of those things that can just happen when you are competing online unfortunately... I am suprised we dont see more issues with it in KK tbh given you have players all over the country competing with an additional 2 guys that are afk but also in the koth. Hopefully it wont happen again but there is no point in blaming anyone since I guarantee none of it was intentional. Congrats to everyone in top 8.

This week's matches were crazy. tweedy dominating semiij was definitely the highlight for me.

It almost seems like there is a bit of rivalry here, it would be cool to watch them do a first to 10 lol

Restarting the koth seemed to fix the issue, so idk why people would think it was Any of us in the first place, you should know by now that KOTH'S Get laggy here and there and need to be restarted. And I wasn't even the one being aggressive in the lag, that was all smoke, I was trying to let it simmer down, but when you kept coming in I had no choice but to punish your actions, the pyromancer dust is +7383838383 in lag, I do agree koth should've restarted after the first match but it didn't, so we have to accept it
