We at the Kombat Cup are looking for some feedback on our online tournament system. We want to gauge interest on a few things and would love to see this grow into something even larger!

What is stopping you from entering the Kombat Cup?

Nothing, but I don't find it very interesting if none of the players I personally know is able to enter it. It's not very exciting to watch for me

I think the stream and the bracket system are perfect. You guys are doing a great job...just make something similar for EU and you will catch the interest of a lot more people.

I don't watch live because of it's late in Europe but I watch the archive the next day between classes.

Also, who do I report mobile bugs to? Watching an archive on my phone doesn't always allow me to skip to different parts of the archive more than once without exiting and re-entering the archive. Kinda annoying lol.

Don't care for the game at all. And sometimes work. if it was a game that i cared about i would enter every week i could.

What is stopping you from watching the Kombat Cup?
Usually work. If i open the next day im not able to watch the entire thing. Its just certain variables. Will usually watch it if i am able to.

Never entered so cannot answer

What do you think could be improved? Wether it be the bracket system, or even the stream?
Its been very impressive to watch. Maybe a bit less downtime in between matches. Although that can be hard since online and such. maybe talk about other matches that are coming up during downtime and if there are any possible rivalries that are about to happen.

The fact that I'm on xbox and even if I got it for my girlfriends PS4 im EU anyway. Sucks cause it's EU who need stuff like this the most with the lack of offline tourneys to attend.

From a viewers perspective though I don't really have any faults! Very entertaining to watch.

I think Kombat cup's been pretty great success, being able to play consistent competitive players is nice. Would love to have double elimination though, especially for mid level players who most likely pubstomp but then come out only to be eliminated first game

1) Down time

There is plenty of it. I get that its online and takes a little bit longer to set up but during the down the commentary/conversation is pretty stale. Which brings me to my next point.

2) Commentary

Its very weak. Not a lot of chemstry between the two of you. Conversations between the down time come off as very forced.
Echo is not enjoyable to listen to. He rambles on to things that have no point, his tone of voice reminds me of golf commentary drains all hype from whatever he's talking about, he has not enough knowledge of the game.

I don't watch the live competition because it's late but i saw all matches in archives.
You are doing a great job and i hope in a similar EU competion in the future! Btw you should increase the hype in commentary when something of amazing happens but i repeat, you are doing a great job!

timezones, mostly even tho I catch up with the archives pretty much the day after
also, stream.me player isn't on the same level as youtube/twitch

include EU in the action..there's at least another 200-300 players from our side with known names that can enter and provide the same level of action and entertainment as NA, take a look at esl for example

i can not comment on the actual player side of it, but as a streamer there is a few things you could do...

1) All troll accounts should be unable to speak in chat. If you are not registered, then no voice.

2) My understanding is that every channel can set up its own emotes, that only work in the channel. Kombat Kup should set up a heap of MK themed emotes for the stream monsters to play with. This would go along way to make the stream.me service seam cooler as well allowing all the streamers to use cool emotes, which everyone loves.

3) There should be a EU Kombat Kup next time as well.

You do realize people can just make troll acounts. I can go and make an account called. EMP_Tom_Bradys_Broken_Monitor and say whatever i want and peopl not know its me.

That has nothing to do with why they should force accounts, you have completely missunderstood the basic nature of it.

For starters to make an account you still need to register, have a unique email not registered on the site already, confirm that email.. blah blah blah.

It is a lot more effort and that is kinda the point.

Still the main reason you want people to have proper accounts, regardless of the info them put in, is that with random accounts you can not ban from the chan as a mod and you can not ignore as a user. Sure people can make as many accounts as they like, but they have to be bothered to do that and have a unique email as well each time.

There is a reason why twitch stopped free chating so many years ago, it is simply better that way.
