I'm def. in love with her new sassy personality! I can't wait for April anymore! http://www.playstationtrophies.org got their hands on MKX, Reptile and Ermac were sadly absent from the built they tried, which gave them more time to try Kung Lao and Kitana!

Kitana's three variations are:
1) Assassin: (Mask On)
- great for rush-down attacks,
- Kitana moves faster across the arena and hits harder at close range.
2) Royal Storm: (No Mask + Glowing Hair Sticks)
- zoning kombat,
- Kitana can create fan lift waves and launch them at her opponent.
3) Mournful: (Jade's Staff)
- using Jade's glaive and staff Kitana has better versatility and range to attack.

Kitana's X-Ray is described as a pretty nasty attack!

I wonder what the deal is behind the 2nd variation encouraging bare-faced Kitana though. I'm sure there'll be an option to change that, but still.

To be honest i was never a big "fan" of Kitana but i have to say design and gameplay wise i really like what im seeing.
Her using Jades staff and glaives in her Mournful variation is really interesting. Really interested to see her gameplay next stream and what moves she is gonna borrow from Jade.

I don't like how they borrowed off of other characters for her variations. It kinda shows how she specifically has yet to be developed. Don't care about Scarlett being out, but Jade could have been a good character for MKX.

Im pretty sure that decision was to compesate for the Jade fanbase. But you cant say it doesnt make sense. Although I do agree that I wanted her to be a little more developed but they already did a great job thus far. Im not complaining.

With three greatly differing variations that cover most MUs (zoning, rushdown, and spacing with longer normals) Kitana might prove to be a real threat....

Im pretty sure that decision was to compesate for the Jade fanbase. But you cant say it doesnt make sense. Although I do agree that I wanted her to be a little more developed but they already did a great job thus far. Im not complaining.

I'm pretty sure they wont just give Kitana Jade's Staff without a story behind it, and I think if this variation got Kitana's fans too, this will be the BEST variation in my opinion

To make it even worse, it looks like she has it (at least) in her rush-down variation.

The "fan lift waves" part worries me about Fujin's inclusion somehow.
Like since I saw Reptile's acid puddle I have doubts about Bo.

Fujin might actually turn out to be a surprise exclusion. It's hard to say TBH because there's at least one hint from Boon that seems to point at him.

In any case I was quite sure that Jade wouldn't make it. Now it's all but confirmed. Although I'm not a big fan of cramming multiple characters in one, NRS seems to have found a credible way of including Jade's move set in MKX.

Maybe Fujin will be the Rain/Martian Manhunter of MKX?

I have a feeling that they probably couldn't think of many variations to give Jade that separates her from the rest but really wanted her in in some capacity so it was decided to have her bestie pay tribute.
