Honestly one thing that I wish NRS had done if they were trying to make this game so pad friendly is change the input on those special moves with varying ranges. Close should be DB Medium would be DF and far would be BF Oh I was wishing that the day I started playing kenshi lol I was hoping for DB for close. DF for medium and FF or DD for far
