There likely won't be a trusted converter for some time. It's really stupid that the consoles disallow PC pads outright.

Yes but you have to make it yourself. You need two things: 1: Undamned USB decoder (http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/undamned-usb-decoder/1491-undamned-usb-decoder.html) and 2: a common ground licesenced controller to hack and piggyback to the encoder (for PS4 Hori FC4 http://www.play-asia.com/fighting-commander-4-paOS-13-49-en-70-7sn9.html for xbox one http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-one/accessories/rock-candy-xbox-one-wired-controller-blue/117293). This will give you a convertor that accepts either ps3 or xbox 360 controllers. Since you are using licensed controllers as the piggyback pcb, you do not have to worry about your convertor being patch out in a firmware update. Since this contains no macros, it is tournament legal.

Downsides: It needs official controllers, and the ps4 boots you out every 8 mins if you don't. Its not tournament legal, because these are just cronus' with different software. And the new software does not stop the usb port for overheating and causing dropped inputs for player 2.

The only issue is that PS4 conversion requires you to authenticate your controller every 7 minutes or something. Per this Amazon review:

"Second, the more significant point: as of the writing of this review the cross play feature of the Titan One on the PS4 is "partially" supported. What that means is that - due to how the PS4 checks for controller authentication - any controller running through a Titan One will need to re-authenticate once every 10 mins or so (in practice it's closer to 7 mins.) The re-authentication process is very fast - lasts less than a second - but during that time the controller will not accept inputs."

Best route would be a custom built converter with PCBs.

M4, CronusMax and Titan One all have the same flaws, need to re-authenticate your controller.

this is what im using for ps3 and xbox360 ..

they say it works for ps4 and xbox1 I havent tried it yet but all ill need is xbox1/ps4 wired controller to sync it so I can use my ps3 controller and any systems .. so far so good .. just my opinion

It is not that they cannot, is that they choose not to allow it. The "they" here is MS and Sony. If you want to do business with Sony or MS, you have to follow their rules.

The guy who posted that, did not provide prove of either claim and only has 6 post on srk. Since he was the only one claiming it and this converter has had problems in the past I would be weary.
