7 frames is the standard for d3's, and I think THTB's also referring to his B3 and I think B1 as a part of his footsies. One mis-timed poke can get you caught in a B312 combo.

B3 and B1 are great.
I try and counter d4s with B1. Somtimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
