This is my opinion. There is nothing horrible about the character. Rico who "barely practices" still does well at the break with him. Smarrgasm has shown strong recently. The guy is still a solid character. I just think he is getting outshone by characters like Zod and MMH who are getting a lot of discussion and hate/hype. You may not see him as much but nothing horrible for him has come out that makes him unviable. Great damage, frame traps, practically little need for meter, meter gives him access to safe Boot approach and tracking high chip low attack. Granted some nerfs with backdash, boot, normal lightning hitbox... etc. Nothing that would kill the character.
