I'm coming in with this super late, but with more and more feedback, I'm asking if there is an interest in Character Forum moderators in the Injustice 2 forums.

Vote in the poll and even tag others who you think would be a great character mod for Injustice 2.

I'm interested in becoming forum moderator for the Red Hood forums.

I see no positives in this and only negatives tbh. can someone enlighten me?
Imagine @ForeverKing your Batman forum moderator. It's someone who knows what they're talking about for that respective character. It's also someone doing what they can to keep the forum hopping.

The cons are the difficulty of finding dedicated persons to be mods. Forget the power; you need to be dedicated to it.

nah im good. I dont think that someone who is supposedly the best with a character should just get that power. just because they are good doesnt mean theyll make a good mod nor does it mean they are always right.

You're missing the point. This has nothing to do with "power". It has to do with "caring" for the forums.

Forget me even mentioning King, that was just an example.

Being a mod has nothing to do with how good you are at playing the character.
It has everything to do with how good you are at settling disputes, handling and organising information and keeping things interesting optionally.

So why make them a mod? cant they 'care' for the forum without being a mod?

This doesnt make sense to me. obv the mods will use their power otherwise there would be no point.
Dont get me wrong here I can see why some may prefer this and how it could be beneficial however I know I wouldn't like it
Honestly it just sounds like a recipe for disaster, atleast for people like me.

Well of course there's power, but it's more for "sticking" a thread, or "unsticking" a thread, "organizing" a thread. Closing topics that have run their course. Moving threads that don't belong. Generating character discussion, etc.

again i see where youre coming from, just that I am going to hate it. this place already has a problem with shutting people down with different opinions.
hopefully some good can come of it and generate more discussion for the dead characters.

I will happily rise as a Czar of the Batman forums. Or the Deadshot forums. Or Darkseid. Doesn't really matter. Put them all in a hat.

Just know I will rule with an iron fist.

This. Times 1 billion.

I would offer to be a mod, but the nature of my current lifestyle is that I am really active for periods of time, followed by days where I just go dark. I can't keep up with day-to-day responsibilities right now.

The fact that half the character forums "official" combo/resource threads are outdated or not optimized properly is enough reason on its own to do this. They need some serious cleaning up.

I would vote a very strong "do it." Just be sure to monitor the mods. Some people get way to hung up on fake-ass internet "power," and confuse it for something real that matters.

When have people with different opinions been shut down?

A mod's job in the character forums should be much more focused on organizational matters than behavioral ones.

There will be some bad mods, but as long as Storms takes complaints about such behavior seriously and replaces them, it should work itself out.

plenty of times and it would happen a lot more if there were more mods and they were just good players and not necessarily mod worthy.

take this for example
@Ninequads93 = Captain Cold
@TheRealOnlyGoonie = Harambe (get a banana)
@CrazyFingers = Swamp Thing
@Linkuei82 = Sub Zero
@DDutchguy = Raiden
goonie may be a decent grodd player but he def is not mod material. However, he is still suggested to be the mod of the grodd forum because 1.he knows the character and would be dedicated to the forum and 2. is a known grodd player. now obviously this isnt going to happen with every character forum but still if this is the initial response, id hope you could see how some may take issue with this

Don't make them a moderator, @STORMS. Give them abilities to sticky threads and the like and give them a title similar to News Editors, just make it say something like "Batman Specialist" or something of that nature.

It doesn't have to be that exact title, but I'm sure you could come up with something.

Another thing is that someone needs to be more active here. The other Harambe mains aren't active anymore or aren't TYM members, ever.

This is why I suggested them as the most and that are beasts with combos and such. I could do such things, but I don't know if I could have some time doing those stuff with either Cold or Sub Zero, so I'll leave these to these guys.

I would nominate myself for the Grodd sub-forum, but I'm not nearly active enough in there although I lurk on TYM almost everyday.

However I do want to nominate @Crusty for the Red Hudson forum. And for my gorilla brethren, @Belial and @Skedar70 come to mind for nominations if they want to take up the role.
