I can't get around this tick throw input error

Everytime I go for d1 or d12 into dbf1 it comes out as gotcha grab and i don't get my tick throw. Help?

Then you press 1 to early. Do it like that: input DB then F and 1 and with D1, I do for example one motion D1 > B > F 1

Also turn off release check if you havent already.

I have no problem executing the command grab in combos. Yet I haven't been able to get any of his supposed tick throws to work. Doesn't matter if I'm online or offline. They whiff every time.

His tick throws works great, its something with your bad execution just practice more.
