What's new

how would you guys feel about this guest character

avatar aang

lets talk about it:

-Immensely popular character not yet already in a fighting game (more hype+sales)
-Potential for incredibly diverse moveset
-Unique design
-Actually fits well in a superhero theme'd game/setting
-Uses environment to fight as well as many gear options

His moveset should have some good 50/50s with emphasis on aerial attacks with okay but punishable anti air moves. His normals should be slightly on the slow side but he should have a fast run speed, decent recovery etc. His moves should incorperate some elemental moves meaning some small projectiles going with it. He should make use of his staff too.

He should have a counter/parry move since one of his MA skills is to "wait and listen".

For example, D2 should have him sweep the opponents feet with an air blast, which would be comboable but very easily punishable. However it should have decent range as well.

His trait would be avatar state. it would get 2 levels, at level 1, he would use air to push himself to avoid projectiles, moves etc while greating distance. , level 2 would be a great air attack that is mid screen where aang's eye would glow for a moment while doing the attack, the opponent would get sent flying up in the air (comboable but hard to do). This would enhance Aang's next few moves or so.

his supermove would be over the top, it would begin with him using air to push the opponent down (if they dont block it that is) then while on the ground, usiing the avatar state aang flies up into the air using the earth to launch them into the air where a wave of water would slam down on them. While face down aang surrounds them with fire making alot of steam before finally wacking them with his staff.

Background:
aang is the "superman" of his own world, and a pacifist who actually would greatly oppose killing even when its for the greater good. this would fit well against an oppressive dictator...even going as far as stopping himself from killing which had led him to be vulnerable at points, but ultimately fights for peace.

Abilties:

Control over elements, using real martial arts to use them. enhanced speed, strength, etc.

Uses a staff to enhance his abilities.

Where there is smoke, there is cancer.
quick reply and yeah i definitely would too
if random movie characters like from texas chainsaw massacre can get in, aang should too
Yeah I didn't read your post, I'm just a huge Avatar fan. Watched both the TLAB and TLOK series several times each. They're fantastic.

Well thought out ideas, and compelling evidence that he would make an interesting addition.
No.

You are right

How dare they add capeless heroes like wonderwoman, flash, Ivy, Canary, or even swamp thing

They obviously don't fit11!!1!!1
None of them are guests. Maybe we should have some Jedi in the game too, they have capes and super powers.

was going off of your logic

NonJedi would never get into the game now that they're owned by Disney

Aang however, is not owned by any D.C. competitors, is a superhero (literally) and fits more better than scorpion ever did.

Nobody's afraid of Bruce Wayne
I don't see it happening, I would actually much prefer Goku if they're going for a cartoon character guest character . Superman vs goku would be pretty hype and he would fit in nicely I think. Super saiyan trait would be OD. Probably won't be seeing either of them though unfortunately as I imagine they are going to reserve the dlc spots for characters with upcoming movies and such that would help generate more revenue.

I'm actually rustled

Goku is not a cartoon character who's even more OOC to the injustice setting than Aang

Goku vs Superman is hype yeah, but not this game which is different cannon

Pretty much every character in the game is a cartoon character.

My logic was that we should put modern day comic book super heroes in a game about modern day comic book super heroes. Avatar is a cartoon pretending to be an anime about ancient mystics from far away lands.

WB has already made entire games for Disney.

Avatar is owned by Viacom who is definitely a competing company with Warner Bros. Scorpion is owned by WB, so he fits in anything they do.

Actually no it was

i mean, or maybe a caped super hero maybe. You know, someone who fits.
You were suggesting here that since Aang doesn't have a cape he wouldn't fit into the superhero setting

Avatar is a cartoon pretending to be an anime
Ah, that explains it. I can see why you are so against it now, seeing as you never watched the show.

about ancient mystics from far away lands.
With heroes and villains

even if we went by this, it's still like Zatanna's story, WW's story, Dr Fate, etc

It doesn't matter. Disney is one of the hardest companies to use trademarked characters for. I've heard of them taking down drawings of Mickey Mouse in the past.

are you sure about that?

Scorpion is owned by WB, so he fits in anything they do.
So random horror movie villainy are plausible to be In MK, but a hero from a different setting does not fit the villainy tyranny injustice is? (Nevermind Aang's MAIN ANTAGONIST was that)

ANNG doesnt fit at all if your gonna add in a random character that doesnt make any sense at all just put in goku someone who could actually hold his own against the gods in this game .... not the fucking air bender lmfao

EDIT: Cool idea just the most far fetched idea I have ever heard. not gonna party poop though let the ideas flow

See if you're gonna troll you can't actually point out the reasons why you're wrong. You just have to be more subtle than that.
Trolling? What the fuck are you talking about? I complimented him on his thoughtful thread topic, but I don't think that Aang should be in I2. He asked a question, and I answered it. Anyone who disagrees with you, or something you like, is automatically a troll? Even when I only said good things about the poster?
Be better than this, Rushdown. Seriously.

Aang could probably take half the cast of injustice by himself. Batman and any humanid character would lose to him.

It's a fighting game. There are obviously going to be inconsistencies for game mechanics.

Superman doesn't seem as powerful as he does in the actual comics, and thank god for that.

Oh I know. I was referring to the guy who said aang couldn't fight vs the godlike characters. I have no problem with it, but he's clearly never seen the show. If aang wanted to he could blow up half the cast like dr manhattan did Rorschach.
