ok this has been annoying me for a long time as im tired of seeing people get hit by this, so ive decided to make this thread to get it out of my system and maybe help someone in the process,
so lets get started...

the "mixup"
b3,4-two lows that cause a knockdown
b3~ex roll - low then overhead than launches

so looking at just that data,it would seem a good mixup is present.
this isnt really the case.
b3 has 21 frame start up, yea its slow but thats not the problem with the mixup, the two follow ups are...

ex roll- 12 frames, the fastest overhead in the game.full combo punish on block
b3(b4) - 21 frames, (9 frames slower)
now ex roll on hit will grant you 30% while the b4 of b34 will grant you 7%.
but with this mixup its not the case of needing to fuzzy guard or trying to guess whats coming out or even just taking the sweep for the sake of not eating a ex roll.

it was discussed in another thread how with brain waves and all the jazz a move has to be between 20-22 frames to be "seen" happening, ex roll is 12 so its not going to happen with that but the b4 of b34 is in the range

so what you might say but this shows why this mixup is a low level one indeed.
the 42~exroll mixup (that alot people shit on) i consider better than this one.
anyways this is the correct way to block the b34/b3~ex roll "mixup"...

***after you block the 1st low ALWAYS stand up straight away (you have NO REASON not to)
and you can watch and literally see if the b4 comes out instead of the roll the go back down into crouch block***
