Where are his gaps? When is it my turn. I need major help on Jax. He seems so plus’s after everything. I just can’t get an opening. Can someone break it down please?
I’m sorry but that title has to be shared between Kang and Scorp. Absolute online top tiersHe probably benefits more from online delay than any other character, it’s insane.
I main Jax too. Since when his F33 or F2 were plus lol? Have u even checked his frames before playing him?I main Jax, and I will say proper spacing, whiff punishing, and zoning will shut down any Jax player. Most of his plus moves are nasty on whiff (f3,3 ...f4,2...f2 strings) and he can’t do too much if you simply back away from him and space/zone very well. He’s definitely an intimidating character but any character with a decent projectile and good footsies can shut him down. Also most people that play Jax play the variation with the overhead where he punches you a lot so blocking high is very important. His combo game isn’t really impressive either so if a Jax player is doing a combo, maybe don’t break out? It usually isn’t a horrible amount of damage and it’s better to just save the defensive meter for rolls. Rolling against Jax is also very strong(though this could apply to any character) most Jax players will play a very aggressive oki game and will do easy to whiff moves while you’re on the ground so rolling can lead to a full combo punish.
Bruh I was over here like????? I want his version of the gameI main Jax too. Since when his F33 or F2 were plus lol?
Lol my mistake, I thought they were. I haven’t checked in a bit of time actually, I still use those moves quite often and do fine onlineBruh I was over here like????? I want his version of the game
That’s cuz in your game it’s plus! Lmao it’s all good man no worriesLol my mistake, I thought they were. I haven’t checked in a bit of time actually, I still use those moves quite often and do fine online
When I play against him online, if I don't flawless his gaps, I try to contest his negative framed with my 8-frame d1, but the animation doesn't even start before he blows through with his own pressure. If you're not playing on a monitor or tv with tiny input delay, all that shit might as well be plus. TV delay + online delay = one busted character. I play a handful of Jax's and I don't think any of them have ever stopped pressing buttons during any of our matches. Why would they?Jax can be zoned. He is neg 7 after his overhead string ender, so don't let him press buttons for free after (every online jax ever tries to d1 after f33 13 lol). Most of jaxs damage comes from his crushing blows
I dont know about how delay works online or whether or not you need this or that tv, this or that monitor, wired vs wireless controller, ect. Your gear may not be good for playing this game online if you cannot contest -7 though. I can check kabals f224 into poke with my own 6 or 7f poke and thats only a 2f window. When I play against him online, if I don't flawless his gaps, I try to contest his negative framed with my 8-frame d1, but the animation doesn't even start before he blows through with his own pressure. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, but typical online delay in a good connection is around 4 frames, right? So that -7 really becomes more like -3. Non-gaming monitors can tack on an extra 1-5 frames of delay. That shit adds up fast when trying to react to throws, staggers, cancels, etc.
