Fundamentals. It could be that you are too easy to read for that particular cage player so he's running game on you for free. Demo has one of the sickest set-ups into damage and shenanigans in the game, so where you lose is likely a difference in skill.
Figure out his frame data, learn when you can apply basic stuff like a d4 into proper offense and keep it calm.
