Tech Grundy don't stop!

I just wanted to post some anti Ares tech, because I saw a few people were having trouble with this MU. I spent some time in the practice mode and i found some holes in Ares game that are pretty easy to exploit with Grundy.

1. Ares d1, d+trait(Ares will usually teleport in first)

This is a common set up for Ares juggle combo. You can do a few things to counter this

Meterless Escapes(Note: All these are done after blocking Ares d+1)

a. d1,3
b. 2,bf+2(easiest to execute)
c. d2, 11db+1 (MB db+1 will not connect)
d. 112, bf+2 or 112, db+2
e. WC will go through the blade, but Ares can neutral jump to escape it, so you have to WCC into df+1.(most difficult to land online)

1 Bar Escapes

a. 2, bf+2(mb)
b. 112, bf+2(mb) or 112, db+2(mb) [highest dmg potential)
c. 2, bf+2(mb) or 2, db+2(mb)
d. WCC+Trait Grab(mb). Note: Same conditions for the meterless set up.

2. Anti-Air Tech

Ares Ji2 is insanely good. You have to time an AA perfectly with grundy to get a clean hit, but most of the time you trade or get beat if you are too slow. The combos you can do depend on if you get a clean hit or a trade

a. df+1(safest)
b. d2, f13 trait grab(highest dmg)
c. d2 if it trades, it can only be followed up by 11 trait grab.
