That's correct.F3 b2 close leap j2 b2 close leap j3 d2 b2 close leap j2
not in a position to test right now, but seems like there is a good chance it would fail against backroll? Maybe give that a shot. Not sure how viable this is but I know it beats jumps and buttons. Does not beat backdashes and invincible wakeups.
Meaty Leap Grab
I only am dabbling with Grodd right now, but it seems it's only useful for the meterless damage/ability to set up the reset off of a different string besides 22 and to make 22 safe (which even then isn't it -8? That's barely punishable.)So, how valuable do you guys think stampede cancels are to Grodd's combos? I can't get them to come out reliably, and it seems like my time would be much better spent practicing his other stuff anyways.
Actually, after a F3 I do Standing 3 (all three hits) Back 2 Down Forward 1 J2 Back 2 Down Forward 1 J2That's correct.
There's basically 2 camps of combo, the "lesser" reset combo, and the "greater"
lesser being only 2 jumps reps and no j3, greater being 3 jump reps with the j3 in the middle.
background bounce interactable, b3
and 112 stampede cancel stuff
you can only do the "lesser" rep as it uses up too much of your juggle potential. Everything else you can get the full 3 jump rep.
I actually prefer doing this combo in the corner after hitting a F3 because I can do 112 Trait or if I have trait on I can do 112 and go for mixup. Here's my video on YouTube showing what that mixup is like. The combos are shortened but after a down forward 1 hits while levitating you get a free F3Hmmmm interesting. Does that give you more dmg?
