What's new

Glacius is the weakest in the game!

Posthuman

Where's TJ Combo?
In a rush-down game a defensive play-style is really weak.
He has no dash, slow walk speed.
Shitty wake up game. All of his wake ups can be neutral jumped.
Decent AA's but the risk reward is always on the jumper since juggles do very little damage(20% aa juggle, and if the jumper lands a hit Glacius could eat 50%+)
He has very weak anti-cross up game.
He is very vulnerable to Sabrewulf dash cross ups, He cant do much all of his counter attacks wiff and he gets punished.
Glacius Instinct is very good but upon activation he can get threw for free so canceling an unsafe move with IM to make it safe is not 100% safe like everyone else IM.
Glacius air normals are only a problem for scrubs that dont know how weak they are, his air normals have no priority at all.
The uphill battle starts even before the announcer says "fight" since opponents can just walk/dash/jump to him and he has very little options to get them off of him without meter. Basically he has to just block and pray to find a hole to counter poke or input any type of reversal and since his only fully invincible move he has is 13 frames(lol) he is very predictable and reactible!
Why is it that a "zoning" char has such hard time zoning and getting zoned out but Jago a "balanced" char?
A char like Glacius belongs to a SF game were pokes actually do damage, that is the only way he could be really good by poking to win but KI3 doesnt work that way.
He has the easiest to break auto doubles and hardest manuals in the game.

Just to clear this off, Glacius can actually get punished for counter breaking ranged combos!
Jago shadow windkick can punish Glacius wiffed counter break from about 3/4 of screen. This is just an example not all char can punish it but some do pls hit the lab people!

There is so much stuff I'm missing right now so expect me to update it soon.

@Orochi @GodsLonelyman @AK Pig Of The Hut help me explain it to the scrubs that just dont get it, pls!

Glacius and Spinal are the hardest characters to use in this game. Too bad they are mediocre best and when you are going up against braindead characters you are fucked.

Try waking up against Sabrewulf or Jago.and see how far that gets you.

Spinal has very weak wake up game but I find him to be very good tbh. In my personal opinion he is the hardest to use but one of the best in the game when you master him
Now I main Glacius so this make seem like I'm exaggerating just because the MU is kinda hard but is not the case, I really find him to be a good char. Just keep practicing and grinding out MU's.

@Vagrant I'm gonna ask you nicely if you have nothing productive to say please get off this thread. I'm actually trying to have an educated discussion here!

I think you just need to play better.

I don't think it's the character at all.

Without mentioning names that don't wish to be brought into forum bickering, Many players much better than myself think he could be the best in the game.

If they say that, and your matchup charts have him not winning a single matchup.... Something is definitely wrong.... You guys think I'm here to blow you up but all I ever do is try to get you to not make yourselves look like idiots.

But feel free to continue to downplay

I didnt say I was getting outzoned! Is that all you got from reading the OP? lol
What I got from the OP is you drew a comparison between Glacius and Jago. You complained that Glacius, despite being the designated zoning character, has a hard time zoning- and yet Jago was a balanced character.

The implication is Jago has better zoning than Glacius, which I disagree with.

You make unilateral complaints about Glacius, such as having the easiest auto-doubles to break, but you fail to mention that he can get free counter-breakers when using his ranged auto-doubles, which makes up for this.

But most importantly, you should probably use your Xbox One's record feature and show us how you play Glacius. You've yet to prove that it's the character, and not you that has issues.

I respect your opinion but I dont share it.

What I meant was that Glacius has a hard time keeping Jago out, never said he has better tools. Its just that Glacius cant really zone him out to win, he has to rush him down and Jago has better close pokes, better aas, better and faster wake ups than Glacius does.

Look when we have top zoning players Such as @Orochi @Relaxedstate @AK Pig Of The Hut and others non-tym members saying he is weak that should mean something!

Btw Jago shadow windkick can punish Glacius wiffed counter break from about 3/4 of screen. This is just an example not all char can punish it but some do pls hit the lab people!

Edit: and no, I'm not gonna record and upload my gameplay for your entertainment!

I agree! And I know you don't agree with me but being able to automatically block overheads and lows during Shadow Hail effects his game a lot too.
Also the combo-breakers do not favor Glacius at all. If he gets broken, it's a hard knockdown which can spell the end for you. If you had armor from instinct you just lost it too!

EDIT: But like I said he will take the most time to master. So I think these bad mu's will turn into even mu's and possible advantageous mu's in the future.

But then you also have to take into account that Glacius cannot Ultra from fullscreen which is another big disadvantage.

SocalZOD

The struggle is real.
Glacius is not the worst if there had to be a worst its spinal atm buts hes new so idk. And glacius might only have one 6-4 mu. Worst atm is orchid and spinal forsure

With all due respect FUCK OFF!

You only feels this way about Glacius because you main Sabrewulf and when played right both can give each other a hard time.

Sabrewulf mauls everyone in the game except Glacius, try seeing it with others char mainers eyes!

I love your condescending comments...but you know what? You are not god lol
He actually plays Sadira, which is an 11/-1 match that bricks the xbone if Glacius wins

I dont agree about the being able to hit high or low while an opponent is blocking a shadow hail because this will break the game in so many ways.

I kno I already explain this but thats just how it works with block-stun is most 2d fighters and KI3 isnt Marvel!
