The Jade community has a hell of a time ever moving forward because so many people are busy trying to oust the players who are honest (and, ironically, the best) with Jade. Both Birdsongs and Mr. Mileena have been baselessly attacked in these forums, and they're two of the undisputed best Jades in the community. The icing on the cake is that the people doing the hating barely even play the game and constantly make excuses for why they don't perform. Bullshit.

A lot of people have been, it goes back to the days of Smoke is not a problem thread etc. when people who have played top Smokes offline argued that Jade loses to Smoke and were discredited and implied to not be good enough to say. This stuff has been going on here for so long it annoys me.


I'd like to see the Jade community actually focus on improving their game instead of so much focus on the drama, I've been making combo threads and other things to try to steer us back on course, admitting something is bad isn't giving up, I wish people would realize that.

The Jade community needs to learn to use the pm system and the ignore button.

But it's not only Jade players that do this. It's been, what? 2 years? Of course we're all a little attached to our mains by then, but we have to be reasonable.

This match up could not be won in a tournament. It would be a death sentence to try it. I've taken her against Smoke at tournament and I didn't like my odds, but she kinda held her own. So what do we do? Pick up a secondary for the really nasty match ups. You can be a loyalist and try it, just have a strong secondary to fall back on if she's losing badly. I still don't think it means she's a bad character in admitting that.

There's too many characters in this game for there not to be few really nasty matches. If anything, we should be happy all the characters are pretty unique with their own move sets, and we don't have 3 Kenshi's just dressed as ninjas.

You can't play any character other than Kabal and Kung Lao(maybe one or two other exceptions and not have a 7-3 or worse match up in this game).

Kitana
Jax
Liu Kang
Freddy
Cyrax
Kenshi

All fall prey to either a 7-3 or even 8-2 match up, great, solid characters can't even escape having awful match ups.

I'm sticking with Jade and Stryker, I have Stryker to help her with Kenshi, but he's my main anyway. I thought about just playing Kitana, but why? She loses badly in more than one match up as does Cage and others, so I just stick to who I like and still play to win.

I mean I see people playing at tournaments and using their mains in extremely tough 8-2 and sometimes 9-1 match ups. I've had to run such match ups at a tournament before so I know first hand.

Jade's not bad, the game balance is just not ideal. I'm not going to argue back and forth about said topic, all I will say is 8-2 and 9-1 matches result from extreme oversights.

Off topic, but maaaaan, Seth avoids doing everything Rose wants to do and then abuses her issues on defending.

I dont disagree with this thought in general it makes sense. But if you have two players on a equal level, or if kenshi player is even slightly better this could very well be 10-0 and pig sort of showed that.

But thats pig. THats why i wanted to see another kenshi try this, pig being THE kenshi might only make it looks 10-0. I mean if you can grind the lao mu and make it look even, then you can certainly exploit a character like jade who is completely lacking tools to compete in the MU.

tonight Blind_Man takes on the kitanas so it should be interesting and fun

but FTR I think blind man is exceptional and #2 kenshi

I know the MU is very difficult but I refuse to give it a 10-0 for Kenshi. I hope Pig Of The Hut has another one of these XD. (or if he's open to a private match someday)

10-0 was a joke. A 2 year old Jade will still most likely take out a day one Kenshi. She might be going into a losing battle, but she's going out glowing and staff slamming! 10-0 implies Kenshi doesn't even need a person behind the controller to win.

9-1 yes. It's that nasty against a smart Kenshi.
