Loadout: Widow’s Kiss, Strepsiptera
(damage, startup of first hit)
Note: combos will not include J1 to start as its combo scaling results in a miniscule amount of damage added damage to combos. J2 isn’t ever used for air-to-ground combo purposes so it’s excluded for combo starts as well.

Damage

Note: to successfully get the J2 on the combos below, you must be frame perfect on the Ground Swarm after landing from amplified Widow’s Kiss stun. You can see you’ve done so correctly if D’Vorah does not move at all before starting the Ground Swarm animation. If you don’t succeed, do J1 instead (combos will do less now as J1 does less damage than J2)

Bonus from @Second Saint :

[starter]~amp Widow's kiss, db1, dash cancel f1~strep as another option for unbreakable strep setups. If done correctly, you're +13 and have different options from the d2 version here since it won't hit meaty.

I'd say that covers the basics pretty well, though I do think it's worth noting that the bnb strep damage setup midscreen can be done with j1 instead of j2 for ~10 less damage and much greater consistency.

While definitely true, there's a very easy confirmable visual to know if J2 is or isnt going to work which I noted in the listing. If D'Vorah moves AT ALL prior to starting the Ground Swarm animation, you can immediately know to use J1 instead. If D'Vorah lands and smoothly goes directly into the Ground Swarm animation, you've got the timing right and can use J2. It's not a huge damage difference as you said, but the visual cue mixed with the time before you jump makes it pretty easy to confirm which jump attack you should use in the current combo.

Ahh, sorry. I kinda skimmed those.

I'm gonna do a quick oki guide and an even quicker amp db1 launcher combo break down.

Damage combo
[starter], amp db1, microdash s1, f13~df2

Setup combos:
[starter], amp db1, microdash s1, f13~df3 (most damaging setup~200 or so, but least plus knockdown)
[starter], amp db1, microdash 21~df3 (least damaging setup, but much more plus on knockdown)

Basic Strep oki guide

There are essentially two kinds of oki situations granted by strepsiptera knockdowns. Ones in which strep will not hit meaty and ones where it will, the latter being exclusive to the Widow's Kiss + Strepsiptera load out. When Strep hits delayed, you must supply the meaty or bait a wakeup and use the incoming bug to either create pressure or as a conversion tool. A good way to do this is through d1 oki, which has a great deal more depth than you might initially believe.

After a simple combo of f13~amp db1, s1, f13~df3, you can then attempt to meaty with d1. From here you have a number of options.

1) d1~katipo rush gives you around 22 chip damage and keeps you plus on block. On hit, you become extremely plus.

2) d1~db1 puts a puddle on the screen while the strep bug partially covers you. This allows for more pressure or potentially a hard to blockable with f4

3) d1, 44. If d1 hits, you can jail into 44. The incoming bug makes this plus on block and allows for a conversion on hit with 44, (bug hits) f13~df2/bf4/df3/etc

4) d1, throw. This throw is untechable, but is mostly only useful when using amp strepsiptera. Without the amplify, you don't do much damage, and it's actually negative on hit.

5) d1, f4. Allows you to go for an overhead while remaining safe or even plus.

Meaty b34 will allow you to convert for a full combo with b34, (bug hits) forward dash f13~df2 (~244). This combo can change based on when the bug hits. But keep in mind that b34 is slow and hard to meaty with, not to mention punishable.

With amp strep, meaty throw becomes an option and allows you to convert with throw, (bugs hit), ji3, microdash f13~[ender] if D'vorah is knocked toward the opponent and throw, (bugs hit), forward dash ji3, micro dash f13~[ender] if she's knocked away. If you're knocked toward the opponent, be careful because that can introduce a degree of inconsistency in the ji3. If you're worried about dropping anything because of that, just skip the jump and use f13~db4/bf4 to keep them standing and in pressure.

These are the absolute basics of delayed hit strep pressure. There are more advanced things you can do, but the important thing to remember is to make something unsafe safe, plus, or launch.

Meaty strep pressure allows one to start pressure without worrying too much about things like...the entire wakeup system. No really.

Other than that, you can do pretty much whatever mixup you'd like here. Strike, throw, low, overhead, whatever.
