Does Back link "Blink" still works?

I've recently learned that some players who use high execution level characters used to rewire their sticks because if you press "back =Select on PS3) button in game, the character would do a LP.

Based on that i get to understand why Sako didn't drop is combos a lot, since he could press two LP at the a single window frame to avoid dropping one frame links.

I tried if i could put this to work on USFIV but nothing happens when i press select, but if i save a memory state then select function reload the memory state previous saved in the training mode.

So did ultra blinks have been patched? If no how do ppl do it then? If yes, then i can understand why sako was dropping so much with E-Ryu during EVO. And why i wasn't dropping at all, during the AE lifespan.

Not sure about rewiring. But Blinking/Slinking is when you plink using the Back/Select button because it's secretly the lowest priority button in the game. And it doesn't pause the game or anything.

So HK>HP>MK>MP>LK>LP>Back/Select
