Did they ever fix the wrong input shenanigans

After watching ECT i was thinking of coming back to this game. Please let me know if they fix the wrong input problems it used to have. I'm referring to things like superman trying to punish with f2 and getting scoop or batman with b1 but getting anti air grapple gun.

It's better than earlier versions of the game, but definitely still present.

Alternate controls fixes it but it makes playing some character harder
