Two things:

A: Is anyone yet to reach 40% 1 bar without a jump in punch?

B: Is spending 2 bars really that bad for a variation that makes so much meter?

Back in MKX I would say no to No. 2, except for Breakers, but in MKXL you don't gain as much meter anymore.
