Can you manually delete balance pathces?

This is specifically for consoles, PS4 mainly. Is it possible to delete balance patches and play on an older version of a game? I'm aware that you can uninstall and reinstall the game, while disconnecting from the internet. However, that should only give you the release version correct? Is there no way to access one of the versions in between the current patch and the original release?

if you had the update pgk files from psn saved to a usb stick (after you downloaded it) you could manually apply that particular update to the base game (maybe depending on the update and what version of the ps4 system software was valid at the time and if that particular update depending on anything else). it would be pretty hit of miss but this should apply to any game. This would not work on xb1 but there you can try installing or change dir of the game itself to a usb stick and then remove it and then reinstall the game again to the another usb stick and save off versions that way.

another thing to keep in mind is in all cases doing so will almost guaranteed invalidate your save data even when backed up to some degree, so it wouldnt be recommended to do so when running a profile that you regularly play with.

I appreciate the advice! Thinking about running casuals on an older version of MKX just to bring back some memories.
