Whose Turn Is It? Games
2708 S Lamar Blvd
Austin, TX 78704
1. BLTMr.Nauj (Sorcerer/Warlock Quan)
2. Henzzar (CSZ, Hellfire Scorpion, Unstoppable Jason, FF LK)
3. Phish (Shirai Ryu Takeda, MoS Ermac)
Our weekly was back in full force. The last time Phish was seen was two months ago suffering great humiliation at the hands of ATP. The burden on his shoulders helped him demolish a path to Winner's Finals. Henzzar also returned to us and finally tested the tournament waters with his CSZ. Though he suffered a Round 1 loss, his CSZ downloaded every opponent and he took himself to Loser's Finals.
In Winner's Finals Phish would have to fight a newcomer from NorCal. BLTMr.Nauj was no joke, but a breath of fresh blood. His Sorcerer Quan exposed a knowledge/skill gap within our ranks. And Phish was no exception. Phish crumbled 0-3. In Loser's Finals Phish's troubles snowballed as he faced The Wall himself, Henzzar. This was also a quick set. Poor Phish. Check out more below:
Grand Finals Henzzar (L) vs BLTMr.Nauj (W)
Wise as he is bold, Henzzar started with a counterpick to BLTMr.Nauj. The rush down and armor break potential for FF LK was just to much for Sorcerer. So, BLTMr.Nauj had a counterpick of his own: the rarely seen Warlock Quan Chi. Down in the set, Henzzar made an interesting choice and put all his cards on Cryomancer Sub-Zero. It would not be enough. BLTMr.Nauj stood victorious upon the bodies of Austin, TX.
Next Time...
ATP and DaZengie are poised to bring their own challenge to BLTMr.Nauj. But with BLTMr.Nauj going nowhere anytime soon, he's as much an Austinite as anyone else. The throne will be hotly contested in the many months to come.
