Question Batman's Trait

I'm curious on how the push block works on them, if it does at all. I swear to god I've pushblocked them before, but maybe Im just making things up. Any clarification on this?

If Batman is pressuring you (with his bat trait out) and you push-block him, he will loose the bats.

I understand that aspect of it. My questions is there have been instances where I have been able to push block the trait before Batman gets in to apply a block string. Other times I can't. Just need clarification on what are the instances under which his traint can and can't be push blocked?

From the looks of it, Batman has to be pretty close for this to work. Like sweep distance.
