Video/Tutorial BATMAN V1.06 MID-SCREEN TRAIT RECHARGE COMBOS (METERLESS / 1 BAR)

With the recent V1.06 patch, I decided to put together a compilation of trait recharge combos.

The purpose is to showcase combos that keep your opponent in a juggle state long enough to recharge 1 bat trait once completed.

This form of "bat management" will allow players to go in for additional pressure once the opponent is knock down / getting up or create a situation where Batman can effectively turtle / zone with one bat while another is recharging.

I also wanted to make sure the content was accessible to everyone; the timings are not extremely strict and can be performed online / offline / under the stress of a match. Some executions are slightly more advanced than others but with practice, all options are viable.

If you feel you can add or replace anything seen in this video, go right ahead and share your findings; I simply recorded what I felt was most consistent for each given combo starter.

Please note that the damage indicated includes 3 hits from bat trait (about 1% from total after scaled) as well as a J2 starter. If you omit the J2, the damage will be slightly reduced.

If I may comment on something, though you likely already know this -

For the combo that starts at 2:18, after you MB Grapple, if you step forward a little or cross-up the foe before doing J2, it will ensure that the first jab in your three-hit launcher string (1, 2, 3) will not whiff, so that you won't drop any damage.

Nice compilation, overall.

I realized that small detail during the recording / editing process. :oops:

I recorded the video in one take and was working against the clock since my camera can only store clips in 5 minute increments.

Everything came out perfect except for that tiny whiff so I decided to keep it instead of re-recording. You caught me!

batman is going to be either very good at the start of the round or he might have trouble. all depends on those first 5 seconds.

Meeeeh, he'll be all right even with the trait nerf. He will need to be less braindead with his bat management, but it's nothing Batman players cannot overcome.

If you end combos with B23 batarang by the time you recover you'll have a bat. Most people tech roll so ending with b23 batarang is a guaranteed extra 2% chip plus some meter building.

I've been doing this a lot lately. Just not against flash. NEVER lol. I get blown up every time I try to batarang after b23 to check flash b/c his wake ups are so (soap bar in my mouth) lol. But I digress, back on topic. DAT DAMAGE

What wakeup can do anything to you from that distance?

After a b23? I could swear I've been hit by his torpedo before. But I might be getting confused with b112 then MB batarang I used to use to close out rounds.

I'll test it out later but I mean b23 batarang puts you at pretty much 3/4s of the screen and if they tech roll, full screen.

I actually feel that the B2,3 nerf hit Batman harder than the additional time to his trait charge. If you manage your bats properly, the nerf is not really noticeable and you can constantly have one or two bats on screen at all times.

As Rapzilla mentioned, the initial reaction of Batman players is to throw a well timed batarang after a B2,3 ender to get that extra chip damage (increases the damage of each combo by 2%) and this will also fill in that half second gap to charge your trait.

You're 100% correct,

The beginning of a match is a crucial moment for Batman players because the 3 bats will either work in your favor or possibly be wasted with no reward. Once the 3 bats have been used up and you have successfully charge 1 bat, you can start your bat management to constantly have a bat on screen.

The damage is very good for one bar of meter but the end result of charging 1 bat is the best aspect of these demonstrations. You get the best of both worlds; damage and trait recharge.

Ideally, I would use J3's in all combos (for increased damage) but the gravity off some B3's were too low. I tried it out numerous times and only the B2 would hit off the B2.3 so I had to settle for J2's to consistently hit the ender.

This is awesome.

Some of these are combos that I've used before. However, it's nice to have a video that helps convey the bat trait recharge aspect from doing the combo. Good stuff, sir.
