Once they are frozen, the 2nd freeze technically causes a pop-up where they CAN'T breakaway. Your next hit is guaranteed. (Free D2 or whatever you want after the pop-up)
"Frost-byte" Frost has the same tech. I have no idea if this is optimal for Sub-Zero. I'm still learning him. I wonder if this can be done midscreen somehow. Avalanche players, please let me know in this thread if you can.
You can see that after Slide/Arctic Trap, there is plenty of time for the opponent to breakaway, but for some reason, 2nd freeze pop-up literally disables that mechanic. I've tried this with my own controller and the AI set to breakaway.
