Finally getting around to making these threads to get the word out better.

From the Ozhadou Post

October’s YSB continues the trend of ‘new month, new fighting game content’ with the brand new MKXL patch that recently dropped, as well as all your favourite FGC and Smash games. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will once again be at the event courtesy of Bandai Namco Australia, in addition to the usual slew of tournaments and casuals across all scenes. You can save yourself a bit of cash by registering for the event ahead of time, so pre-register for October’s YSB here. Please note, you must provide staff with a purchase receipt from PayPal upon entry or your prepayment cannot be validated.

There’s a lot to look forward this month as always, here are the details:

Date: Saturday, October 29th
Time: 11:30am – 10:30pm
Location: Red Room, Level 1, 99 York St Sydney NSW 2000
Entry Fee: $15 online, $20 at the door (pre-reg here)

Centralised registration will cease at 2pm so if you arrive after that please find one of the tournament organisers floating around and sign up via one of us. Registration for all Smash games open at 12 and close at 12:30.

Tournament times for this month are as follows:
12:30pm – Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
2:00pm – Street Fighter V ($5)
3:00pm – The King of Fighters XIV
4:00pm – Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown
5:00pm – Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator, Super Street Fighter II Turbo
6:00pm – Mortal Kombat X ($5)

Tournament participation is optional and tournaments will only be run if there are a sufficient number of entrants for each bracket on the day. Signups will open 30 minutes before each scheduled start time, look for a YSB staff member to register. The tournament fee for SFV and MKX is $5 with the entry distributed to the top 3 players. Tournament fees for other games are up to the organiser of each respective tournament and will be decided on the day.

In addition to the listed tournaments, there will be plenty of casuals available for a variety of games on the day. These range from the KOF franchise to older titles to a variety of anime games. If you’d like to co-ordinate casuals for a particular game, drop a comment on the Facebook event or speak to a YSB staff member on the day and we’ll be more than happy to try and co-ordinate a setup. BYO set-ups are also strongly encouraged.

See you there!
