Cheetah, the swift, brutal, unmatched Wonder Woman villain has attracted some newcomers that enjoy her play style and want to learn the characters for themselves.

I constantly get messages asking for Cheetah advice, so I decided to do a poll on what most of you would want to see from her.

If anything is missing from the thread, comment on what you would like

I'd select all 4 but that probably wouldn't be helpful. I'm partial to comprehensive guides that are for everyone. Beginner stuff like how the patch changed her, the general strategy of the character, effective normals strings, how to approach in neutral, and then move into more advanced stuff like optimal combos (mid/corner), tick throw conditioning, oki setups, character specific matchups, and other tech that you'd want to share.

Any of that stuff that you decided to do would be awesome though.

It's all so very confusing.
I don't play Cheetah but she's really intriguing to me, I'd like to be tagged on cool Cheetah stuff.
Same.

I chose tech and crossups. Combos are easy to find by just watching matches, or looking at the threads or videos. But tech and the MINDSET behind it.. Like, when you play, how do you make your decisions? How do you decide if someone is conditioned enough, or its time to go ham, or its time to play back, or whatever.

Additionally, going over her strings. What do you like to use and in what situations? What should be avoided? What is a cornerstone of her game? Etc.,

Can you teach us feline sisters how to beat Batman or is that asking for too much? :p
Did a set with nubcakes, probably one of the best batmans out there at the moment. The matchup I can say has gotten better after the adjustments made to him. I have it at 6-4 rather than 7-3. Cheetah has to be patient against him, pounce isn't an options with trait out, so you have to make your way in, and USE TRAIT EVERY TIME IT IS AVAILABLE. There is not point in not using your character power against this character, When you get in against batman it NEEDS to hurt more than it already does. Do not roll in against Batman, that is a death wish. Make a subtle approach and check with d3.

Ive been watching you play for a bit and im interested in what your practice/training methods are? How do you go about getting better at cheetah personally and what elements of her gameplay are you working on?

i'll ask here because why not, here's the ultimate dumb question - what is my best option from d1 on hit? On block I go for tick throw, on hit....nothing? Garbage 150 damage that puts them away from me with db2?

Yeah, depending on who I'm playing I'll just punish them with an empty d1 them and follow up with a d1-tick, works if the person respects the d1 on hit but unfortunately a lot of people like to mash buttons

Right now, i'm specifically working on my d1 dbf1 combos, also i'm going to try and start using her tick throws more often such as b1, s2, s1 etc.

I usually stagger my d1 until I get a hit confirm, sure some people can mash out, but most are waiting for a whiffed command grab, so it really puts them on a guessing game, you can also do d1 pounce and hope they don't mash out
