Clearly OP just wants kotal to be the answer to his own question or he'll argue. If anyone else is listening i would say takeda has great options by variation. Ronin then shirai ryu cover most matchups comfortably and i think lasher beats his other two variations.

Fujin IS a must. I've been playing my main takeda mucho and only been interested in a couple other characters, the og monks who have always been favorites. That being said i can't wait to put a new character in my roster. I dont care what they do with the wind god but i will definitely play him...

I main SR but have recently picked up ronin as a secondary. I feel like SR does much better vs sub zero than ronin. B1 and B2 can reach past clone from a distance as well as having teleport or air db1 beat any fireball attempts. Kunai has quick recovery and doesnt hit the clone directly. Air Bf4...

OP, it sounds like you have an understanding of frames and know that pokes can earn you advantage. Its hard to be frame perfect especially online. The solution would have been to make him stop pressing buttons. Poke the shit out of him if you know he'll keep pressing. Once he notices his strings...

Is there any game that requires good footsies? Movement in fighters is never dynamic enough for me.. Unless im playing ssbm it never feels like i need to learn better movement

I play secondaries mostly for fun. If i play an alt too often i get rusty with my main. I also gravitate towards stronger characters for a main so that i have more options without having to counterpick

I agree. I think lao will be a character with more variation loyalists whereas someone like ferra torr will have loyalists but may need to lean on variation based match ups
