Suggestion for changes as a last ditch effort to make this game not feel like a shallow puddle of loops.

LITERALLY why I dont use Tremor. He should feel like Khameleon in usage. It's like they decided to start giving the good tools out with Khameleon and soon to be Janet. It's why I mentioned taking making all Kameos cost a MAX of 50% meter.

As someone who plays Shang. Starter>DF1>Button>DF1>Button>DF1>BUTTON>DF1>Ender.

Edit: Fixed the copious amount of errors from formatting to spelling. Universal Changes -Holding Stance Switch while blocking slightly pushes back the opponent but drains 2% Bar every blocked hit. This block has a slight recovery similar to Up Block where you can be grabbed. Grabs do increased...

    Shang Tsung General Discussion

Ok, while this isnt a Shang only issue, I got fed up with dropping my combos on Kitana and Scorpion and thought something felt off. Turns out I was right. Now scorpion aside, this only affects PC as far as I can tell but the update position feature on PS5 doesnt save when you go to the character...

Ye, these are the most optimal routes for these situations.

It's gonna be used the same way Kitana's windbomb is used.

    Quan Chi Post-Release General Discussion

Off the bat I def think Quan Chi needs some changes and I'm glad I'm not alone in this thought. I also found a cute synergy with Motaro's teleport letting you to confirm ANYWHERE with 4. EX DB3 can KINDA be used to force your opponent to whiff but it's so mediocre and relies HEAVILY on the...

    Shang Tsung General Discussion

For those who didnt know already. You can OS Ground Skull>Ground Skull pick ups since the recovery is longer when Blocked vs getting the hit. It makes confirming those Far Ground Skulls so much easier.

    Shang Tsung General Discussion

I use the whole string when they're mid-full screen so I check them. I dont mind the F3 whiffing since it can be used to bait people into not blocking the 2. You can also do it after a blocked D4 if you expect a poke but its so tight due to how slow F3 is that you have little time to reaction.

New Shang Mid Screen BnBs, All three do more damage then the typical combo you see Shang’s do…. but it requires some execution so yea..

My b, Didnt realize it was written in October. Was looking for any shang stuff. I mention it because it's more consistent than the triple 4 version.

    Shang Tsung General Discussion

I dont do hit confirms very well. It's why I try to find as many OS' as possible and float chart my gameplay. I try and map out every situation my actions would lead me too and stick to the plan as much as possible. Only downside is my flow chart is massive and I didnt even account for assists...

The State of Zoning and Overall Strategy in Mortal Kombat 1

That's why I Stryker does such a good job with Shang. He significant reduces his riskier plays or at least turns them into trades. I do agree that if someone is aware of the matchup, Shang has to try extra hard to open them up but if you dont have a way to skip neutral and get in then he can...

The State of Zoning and Overall Strategy in Mortal Kombat 1

I HEAVILY disagree with Shang having weaker zoning compared to Liu or Sindel. On paper Shang is the strongest zoner in the game and it isnt even close. Fullscreen Fireball wars will always have Shang on top before kameos are even mentioned.. If either are burning a bar to win the zoning war...

The State of Zoning and Overall Strategy in Mortal Kombat 1

TLDR: Kung Lao makes Shang snowball harder but has a hard time getting it started due to lack of mix and mid frame data. Stryker trades snowball potential for consistent control and small wins. Consistency>Snowball IMO Kung Lao just doesnt give Shang enough to compete IMO. You lose a lot of...

The State of Zoning and Overall Strategy in Mortal Kombat 1

The difference is Sareena's lasts for so long and still allows for a combo. Under certain circumstances, kano/stryker will not allow you to combo.

The State of Zoning and Overall Strategy in Mortal Kombat 1

I dont get why people say Shang needs Kung Lao. He doesnt give Shang anything useful besides a +2 low projectile, a HTB you can counter by delay teching and it costs a bar. The teleport+fireball confirm is not realistic and Shang does not need the buzz saw for his confirms due to the way ground...

The State of Zoning and Overall Strategy in Mortal Kombat 1

My issue is it hitting on return AFTER hitting her. If they wanted, they can keep the return but make the scythes travel longer so you have more of a window to punish before the return then have them be destroyed if you hit her before they make a return trip. While it can deal with breaks, most...

Hell, I think Sareena should get her double throw nerfed and in exchange, have her drain also be a DoT. Something to make people scared of it.
