    Man I can't imagine using stick and NOT having block in the middle for an MK game. Though I understand mechanically how having the thumb positioned over it at all times could work really well. I'd be willing to try it but I'd worry about messing up my UMK3 game too much lol

    Oh man, cannonballs on reaction without charging... great news for Kano! And I believe the charge input is still a good tool against rushdown pressure. I like letting go of LK while crouching, after sticking out some low pokes; tends to catch people off guard. :D I like these options! Crazy...

    Not sure when I'll get to try it out, but thanks for the update! Glad to realize the performance was a real bug and not just a quirk with my computer. I was really stumped because MK games worked great for me on regular MAME.

    I'll be keeping an eye on this; thank you. For whatever reason, MAMEhub absolutely chugs when playing MK on my dedicated MAME setup. Other games run fine, and other versions of MAME can run MK just fine. The 'hub + MK combination just seems to not want to work for me.

    There would need to be some new custom reaction for blocking a command throw with a back input then. Otherwise the command throw startup would just pass through the opponent sprite, since the animation happens either way. Like, what would holding back to block a Gotcha actually look like?

    I like the slide idea because it actually resembles the way it hits in MK4 (and I think some other later games? Not sure.). Not that MK4 is the best source of inspiration, but it's cool if a change has some precedent in other games, rather than just being completely pulled out of the blue.
