Perfect Legend Offers Lessons for Injustice: Gods Among Us!

Some of you guys think this is ridiculous, but I coach gymnastics, and I do private lessons for tumbling ALL the time (about 7 privates per week). Carl is charging 15 bucks an hour. My private lessons for tumbling or gymnastics are 40$ per hour for one person. So while some of you may not be interested in this, it's not really that weird. People who aren't in gymnastics are probably saying "40 bucks for 1 hour of gymnastics? NO WAY!"

Yeah i know, but it just seems like at this early stage of the game he has as much to learn about injustice as the rest of us. What tournament results do is prove the previous sentence wrong.
Not really though...we may all have a lot to learn but that doesn't mean PL doesn't have more to bring to the table than most. (Especially having tested the game) I'm actually considering drafting up a quick e-mail for him to touch up my game some.

You don't have to start winning tournaments to have a basic understanding of this game at a high level. Some people have that "it" factor that others don't. Adapt on the spot, can see weaknesses in your game, can generally understand a game much faster than others. JOP is a old school TTT player (most old school gamers will know him) and is one of the best in the country at adapting on the spot and seeing how games work. I disagree somebody needs to show tournament credentials to properly help the community

Interesting concept. He could be more effective buying his own domain name for his blog and focusing on content and finding ways to monetize his content (blog posts, videos, etc.). PerfectLegend clearly has a following and could continue to grow a distribution list. If I were in his shoes I'd go about differently.

Would just like to say, Perfect Legend is the only person I have played in Injustice that has beaten me more than I've beaten them. If there's anyone other than Tom Brady and REO you would want lessons from, it's PL.

I'm assuming in order to make this statement, you have never bought a strategy guide in your life right? Cause this is no different

Never bought a strategy guide where every time I opened it to read it I had to pay $15 to $10.. Hey if others want to do that then knock yourself out.. I for one can do nothing but HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You paid $25 for information you could have found elsewhere. Each match is not $15 so I don't understand the "everytime I open it to read it" reference. It's an hour and it's for people who need help w/the game. Strategy guide, especially w/the mass information of the internet, is no different. I suppose you laugh at people who get personal trainers as well?

Yeah but noone's gonna pay me no $15 for lessons. It's just like in the real world: if you want that job, you need the resume and the certifications to back it up.

You are very confident. I look forward to seeing where you place in tournaments. Keep in mind 15$ is not a ton of money for many people. There are many tournament goers who agree to money matches they know they will probably lose just to play some of the top matches.

I understand that people in the FGC want the competitive/tournament scene to be big and profitable.. The truth is its not that big of a scene.. PL only got over 1k viewers on twitch recently and thats only because injustice just came out.. I for one have not bought a strategy guide since before the current gen of consoles. back when they were like $15 and it wasnt for a fighting game.. The last time I did that it was Tekken 2..

Btw Health > Video Games... A peronal trainer to get healthy is much more understandable than paying someone to sit around and teach you how to play a video game.. You can try to compare the two all you want but its apples and oranges..

I happen to agree of course health is more important, but to some people who enter tournaments all the time or are super competitive in general, $15 is not a bad deal to (potentially) get really good at a game very fast. Again, I personally would not do it but I clearly see the reasons why people would. Whats not important to you might be important to others

Justice: Being a tester in the game and winning Evo twice isn't a good enough qualification for you?

Again people trying to compare something where pros in poker make millions while pros in fighting games make nothing close to that...
I wasn't really comparing but whats your point?
And who are you to decide who can charge money for lessons and who don't? Its not like PL is an unknown to the scene or known for scamming as far as i know...

When did I say I was the one to decide anything? I am just laughing at the people trying to justify paying for video game lessons with things that are either more important in life or more profitable in life..
