Towers of Time and Krypt economy — hotfix incoming very soon! IT BETTER BE GOOD.

Hours I can do. Not days! I’m glad they’re jumping on this fire so quickly.

So far the most disappointing thing is seeing all of these awesome skins, knowing they’re locked behind random [expensive] lootboxes, with no actual way to work toward the specific skins I want. Or I can buy from a random list in the store. And if I don’t get lucky, I’ll have to play dozens of hours with my characters not looking the way I’d like. Wtf is the point of customization of its locked away so damn tight? So frustrating.

At least give me the option to buy skins directly before earning them, like Injustice 2 did.

Maybe I'm wrong, but is it really the Krypt randomized? I mean, the Shrine of the Dead was the worst shit about MKX's Krypt because it was basically a slot machine, and now they have turned the Krypt into a casino? More like KASINO

It certainly seems that way. Some players were playing along together to make sure they opened the exact same chests at the exact same coordinates to test it, and they had different unlock prices and different loot.

I remember them saying that skins and gear would be EASIER to unlock than in Injustice 2, but now I know THAT was a lie. This is all kinds of bullshit

Yeah it’s truly, truly awful. Probably my only real disappointment with the game, honestly.

I predict that the hotfix will be a marginal fix to the Towers of Time difficulty and RNG issues in the Krypt, but a full-on patch will come at a later date, with more comprehensive changes


For now, it might tide some folks over. I say this as somebody who hasn't played the game yet.

Was wondering the same thing about this myself. You guys don't buy any chance know how to buy cosmetic shit, weapons and costumes do ya with real money? I2 we saw the options unless we HAD to unlock it in the game but I don't see the option anywhere except for that "timed sale thing" on the main menu with random items, costumes etc that you can buy with time crystals. I found where to buy time crystals but I don't see the options to buy anything you want. So pretty much we can't buy any costumes or outfit or cosmetic or weapon we want(not for augments but just for looks) I thought they said we can do this? I hope they patch this shit cause that would suck if we can't.

The main issue that I had with it were the various fight modifiers which the AI had. For instance, I tried to do the Scorpion character tower this morning and there was one fight where you were poisoned and lost health over time and that happened so quickly that if you blocked one of the AI's strings, the fight was over because your health was gone. It was literally unplayable. I continuously tried just rushing in and hoping to get lucky on hitting him so I could finish him off quickly and then just restarting the match if I missed or he hit me, because that was the only way it was theoretically possible, but I got bored of that and stopped after a few tries.

Now, there are likely various anti-poison modifiers which you can find in the Krypt and stuff, but that's complete RNG from the lootboxes and I hadn't managed to find any in my first couple hours of playing. This means that my potential progression in this tower is stopped until one of those randomly drops, I notice it randomly drops and I remember that there was this one tower I was in a few days/weeks back where this particular item would be useful. It's a shittily designed system requiring something like that in order to actually play the tower.

I have internet connection, what i dont have is PS+, do i need that to get access to the krypt? if that is the case it is unbelievable...

I agree, I think the biggest problem is the randomized Krypt I don't know wtf they were thinking with that. They probably can't fix that, but at least takeout consumables from them and have at least one character item per crate (fatalities, cosmetics, gear, intro and outros, etc.,).

I'm just a little annoyed that NRS said, Shawn Himmerick specifically that we can buy cosmetics, weapons, outfits, etc with real money and the only option I see is that timed thing with like 5 random items every 5-6 hours. I figured it would be like I2 where it told you that you had to unlock certain outfits in a certain mode, but you could buy anything else with time crystals(or whatever it was in Injustice) MK 11 it's time crystals. I hope they make this better honestly, the random shit thrown every 6 hours, every day I don't like that at all. Hopefully we unlock lots of stuff in TOT

Where is this fix already? Yes I'm being impatient right now, mostly because it shouldn't have released in this abomination of a state to begin with. Some cunts are still defending this shit, unbelievable.

Does anything happen when you die in the Krypt?

I don't get what the hell everyone is crying about, if the towers seem so difficult just let the ai do the grind. What is the point of beeing done with the game in a few hours? I probably spend like 20hrs in the krypt and still enjoy it. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is getting 10k souls for the soulchest to unlock the recipe of shinnoks amulett, but a friend got the 10k souls from a daily. I got the game since thursday and played every day for roughly 5-10hrs and still enjoy it lol. Afterwards everyone complains the single player stuff doesn't have enough content, you guys need to make up your mind lol

The only fix to the Krypt is to make it static.
