You can do a normal throw, or throw them behind you by pressing L1 and left if you're on P1 side. If you want to tech you have to guess which direction they're throwing in, I'm pretty sure you press 1 for back throws and 2 for normal.

Guess wrong twice and it's a Krushing Blow.

Was able to get this 560 damage wall combo with Bone Deep Baraka: db4, d+2 kb, 4db3, d+1, f+21fb. Tried to do the combo with another d+1 but it scaled down the damage. 600 damage possible with some combo hopefully.

Other combos: Deep jump kick, f+21bf2 must be close to opponent otherwise do deep jump kick, f+4bf2 can also end with fb.

The Klassic Towers being added to the online stress test has made looking at Baraka's move list much easier.


It was mentioned before, but the down forward+1/3 pokes that Baraka Barrage gives you seem really good. D/F1 is +17 on hit, and pushes the opponent back on hit. It's like a mini-D4 that's mid. It's also -3 on block, like his regular D1. His D/F3 is an eight frame low that is +11 on hit. The range is pretty miniscule, but it's way better to use at close range than his D4, I think.


His Gutted special is -13 according to the in-game frame data, so that's definitely unsafe.

His "Baraka-Serker"(blade-walk) special has no frame data listed. So, this special may or may not get better before release.

Am i right in thinking only things that combo after f44 kb midscreen are blade charge, blood lunge and fatal blow?

Never thought to check the flag hit move/leg kebob or the stupid punchwalk move

Looks like Baraka is in the official beta, so we can look forward to that.

It'll be interesting to see if anything changes with him in the beta, compared to the stress test. I'm guessing nothing much will be changed, if at all.

You know, sometimes I think "fuck our generation," but then I think "every generation must have had people saying fuck our generation." Can you imagine? Byzantium. Babylon. Egypt. Greece. Rome. Ottomans. The Holy Roman Empire. Thousands of years of civilization. And every day of every month of every year of every decade of every century, people would look around themselves and say "fuck our generation, we're definitely done for now."

Can a thought be simultaneously optimistic, and also soul-crushing at the same time?

So messing around in the towers, and it seems that you can't (or at least I can't) get chopchop to amplify only when release check is turned off. It works fine when it's on. That's probably why so many people have had issues with amplifying that move, while some haven't.

Played a bunch of games with PL. He used Kabal. Baraka has to work so hard to get in and Kabals buttons a so good. His advancing mid is so oppressive. Definitely a match up to watch out for. The command grab or charge I think is needed to get in if you are playing a zoning Kabal.

Cant wait to dig deeper only played hour and half on the beta.Played one match of course with Baraka and the player quit in the second round just stood there trusty down 4 lol!

I'm not sure if I should take Gutted or Blood Lunge. Gutted is useful for combos but I really like the range Blood Lunge has and it puts the opponent at a good distance away from you. It also works as a brutality so I can end the game a little bit earlier. I'm leaning towards keeping Gutted though just because of the combos you can do with it.

f122KB f4 bf4MB f4 bf4 works great. However, I just cant bloody understand how the KB works on that move lol. You can even end in f4 fb

unless they changed it from stress test, 122 and f+4,4 both kb on punish. So block anything, then mash it out.

I believe the bf4 mb does too, but I used the command grab so I'm not sure.
