proud TERF!
They completely ruined Lei Wulong, which was my main, so I skipped the game. Nina with the bride outfit looks kinda cool however.

atm my top 5 un no particular order are Devil jin, jin, steve, nina and law. But to be honest there are some in here who could swap them out. I think nina is slept on.

ive been messing around with idea of using the devil transformation when in rage and man devil kaz is nasty. I only ever used it out of rage drive but raw transform is a legit option. The damage from his 50/50 options are insane. His electric becomes a mid so it becomes part of the wave dash 50/50

Haven't had some Tekken tier list talk in a while. The game is so balanced, but I think there is a bit of a gap there.

At the top I would say you have- DJ, Paul, Law, Ling, Jin, Heihachi, Steve. A couple slightly below them but not quite like AK and Asuka.

A large amount of chars here in the middle.

At the bottom you have Gigas, Lars, Anna, Noctis, Kuma, possibly Lei.

I think Julia will creep up with the top 10, and Geese is my sleeper agent.

Who uses Nina in tournaments, much less is successful? I would swap Nina with a character like Dragunov or Paul. Even though deathfist does less damage and d+2 provides less advantage on hit, these two characters remain popular in tournaments. They are still very strong despite the negative changes to one of their top three moves.

Otherwise I agree with SaltShaker's list. However, I do not believe Heihach is top tier and Noctis is low tier.

As everybody already knows, strong fundamentals are the true top tier in Tekken. If you cannot move, maximize damage, escape throws, etc. using a top tier in Tekken will do you no good whatsoever.

when i think of tekken i dont think about tournament teir lists, more about death matchs.

Tournament tier lists will would be a bit different. But the game is so well balanced its hard to say. Even when coming up with a top 5 i had about 15 characters in mind

Oh shit I didn't know you play/follow Tekken??? I still play religiously to this day, loving Julia atm. This is where the real footsies, adaptation, and execution is at. Some of the other boys might not ever understand lol.

so true man. This game is near perfect. You get out what you put in which is exactly how a fighting game should be not this "hay if we make it easy anybody can be the next daigo" mentality. I love the fact that the ceiling is so high. It makes the game fun and challenging at all levels.

Interesting. Is there a way to punish this?

He goes over each character this season and gives explanations as to why they're better or worse now. Here's the consolidated list. Looks solid to me:

Consolidated Tier List

S+: Steve, Jin, Devil Jin

S: Law, Bryan, Dragunov, Paul, Kazuya, Asuka, Leo, Geese, Heihachi, Armor King, Hwoarang, Lee, Xiaoyu

A+: Feng, Kazumi, Miguel, Alisa, Master Raven, Nina, Katarina, Jack-7, King, Marduk, Josie, Shaheen, Bob

A: Claudio, Eliza, Lili, Akuma, Yoshimitsu, Lei, Lucky Chloe, Noctis

B+: Lars, Eddy, Anna, Bears

B: Gigas

Also, if anyone ever wants to play, I have the game on XBL and PSN. John Grizzly on Xbox and EmpireEight on PS4, although I'd prefer to play on XBL, as my PS4 stick is a bit ass.

FYI, the Jin changes write up its 80% feedback i gave to them and that blasted salami keeps tab with us after the release of their first Jin guide, so they had to make a round up because we went there and corrected a bunch of the things, still a really good content and he explains on a manner we could never achieve.
My own channel has turned far more into a tekken content rather than mortal kombat, which is weird.

Also about Jin being top in this season 2, some ppl are still in denial but its due to very simple things, Jin is by far or among the most consistent characters in this game mechanical wise, all other characters and certain physics in the game were nerfed which helps jin a great deal.

So all his punishes work 90% of the time, all his CH launchers are damn consistent, specially the CH 4 there wasn't a reason to fear this move before unless a character was a big body, now every single character in the game has to consider that move heavily otherwise they get kicked in the face for big damage.

A lot of ppl are still tackling Jin the exact same way before Season 2 which is a bad mistake, a well composed Jin cannot be overdone, any small risk as long as its -10 gives him a good punish into a oki setup despite his oki being weaker, and if you try to take bigger risks like overwhelming him with pressure, this isn't going to work anymore because CH 4 will keep those players in check heavily.

So he is like a steve with strong legs, a perfect way to defeat him is knowing in anticipation what he will try to counter you with and counter that, accordingly, but if he is constantly in your head there is no exploitable weakness to abuse, he is just that good.

Now i'm pretty sure Jin represents what his gameplan stands for, not the best on anything in particular but still well rounded enoug to make you chill.
He basically is what Akira is in Virtua Fighter, you lab him right and understand his tool to a celular level and he is definitely on the same level as steve and Devil Jin.

I've been grinding a lot of MU, and i think i need to explore the Dragunov one more than the rest, maybe recodnize more his animations.

It also feels good to be able to punish any unsafe move because they are all closer on block so they don't get get away jail free cards anymore, its unsafe Jin punish, its -16 with range, Jin EWHF and the combination of these things with his buff its what makes him so good.
