I just don't understand why he would ever be used > Shaolin.

Slower overhead and a meta with better zoning, does not bode well for Bojutsu imo. I don't understand how being +3 for a bar is a big deal either.

I know his flame is a good anti air check, similar to Jacqui's rocket, but I don't think that that is enough to consider the variation for high level play. It also doesn't combo(at least not easily), without meter. I'd rather have Jacqui's rocket or Alien's U3.
I think bojutsu's main thing is still the same- meterless damage using b1. the lack of a good overhead is irritating but at least we have the difficult to ant air jip. the 3 plus after ex bo swat is useless, it is slow and can help as a gimmick. the fireball looks good though.

Bit cheeky to ask this but I'm a Bo player and Kung Jin (especially Shaolin) is potentially his worst matchup, in my opinion. What are Jin's worst matchups so I can counterpick this fool?

Testing out my Jin any tips are appreciated

You play Kung Jin a little risky. Bf4 is punishable on block/full combo punishable when right next to the opponent. B214/b212+3 is your best string in the neutral. MB df2 is a good tool, plus on block. B243 is a good strong for mixup, don’t always gotta go for no swing of b14. That’s a hard string to hit confirm when going for mix.

I believe your optimal combos off your starters cancelled into bo swing are:

Mid screen: Run, 34, ia divekick, 34 xx db3

Corner: 4 xx bf4, 343 xx db3

Not too sure of optimal with meter. Don’t really play bojitsu. I can tell you everything you need to know about ancestral

How does one really hit after stun arrow, like jump 2 into angled fire arrow into rc~34-etc the 34 never comes out. So i stopped trying all together, shaolin is verry boring.

I’ll never get tired of playing Shaolin! The upkick drop meta and 50/50 game with F3 and F2 will always be fun imo. Until mk11

After stun arrow, load fire arrow, ji2 xx dd2, rc 34, ia divekick, 34 xx dd2

In the corner, load fire arrow, step back, ji2 xx dd2, 34 xx db2, 11, ia divekick, njp, 34 xx dd2

It took me a while to get the timing down too after the overhead arrow to connect 34. Just keep at it, i rarely drop it now
