What about yourself?

I have a few others but this one came from a concert me & my crew rolled through. Ran into some trouble afterwards and we were spitting a cypher. Came up with Villainous Monk thinking about dem monks on the protal stage in mk2.

I also use another one more often than this one. I'm still thinking of changing this one though.

Eddy Wang represents my real name Edson (Edison) and the Martial Arts school where i practiced from my age 12 beyond (Wang You). I worked with 2 amateurs movies in the past after my stunt reel Tony Jaa tribute popped up online, where i directed both as action coordinator so i picked this name when i started browsing the interned more while learning and improving my English. But i'm a gamer since my 5 years old my first game was in the Arcades, Shadow Dancer.




This should tell mostly everything, but i cut this story wide and made it incredible short, if you guys are asking where all this guts came to make such a video, all i have to say is that, in that time i met real/true love, it used to make me fly, so did at every oportunity i got and it took me really far in life.

Same, I'm enjoying this thread more than I would have expected.

I started using the net in the 80s, and by net I mean BBS's and back then I was reading a lot of Japanese comics, which were nearly unheard of in Au at the time. I used a handle called Jyujinkai. Which is a race of demons from horror manga called Urotsukidōji. The comic got famous in the 90s with the OVA and is widely considered one of the tent pole animes that popularised hentai. Remember i was a young teen in the 80s! Anyway... I have used the handle pretty much forever, even though growing up I grew out of explicit violence and sexual imagery, because well into even nowadays the word is rare so I can always register it in pretty much any game or online forum.

The thing is no one can spell Jyujinkai easily. Pepole in game chats started calling my J or Jyu or Jyuk and stuff like that as a way to write it in a shorter way. This evolved from Jyu-jink-ai to Jy-nk-s. Jynks.

I wrote a short film in film school called Karaoke Love about a guy trying to win over a girl at a karaoke bar. At the time, I needed a new email address, so I used karaokelove. And then I just started using it for everything. It's really fun when die-hard gamer bros get pissed because a dude named "karaokelove" is beating them.

I grew up farming. I actually farm. From Iowa so do you do the math. I currently live in the Suburbs of Chicago with my wife and kids. But I still have the family farm in Iowa. When my father retires I’ll probably be back......... farming again. I worked as a football manager at the University of Iowa and the coaches and players who didn’t know my name referred to me as “the farmer.”

I'm liking all of these responses myself. Definitely good to see the story/stories behind peoples' online handle.

It's the first and last letter of my firstname.
And the last letter and first letter of my lastname.

My initials plus the definition of a nickname that I was given by some friends & my aunt. I have my late uncle's middle name. I never met him because unfortunately, he drowned a year prior to me being born. So basically, it's something to honor his & keep it going I guess. Plus I had to make a new gamertag/ID whenever I started working & bought me a 360 slim several years back whenever I graduated high school. I had another name before but I didn't remember anything of it in terms of information so I just came up with this. Just another way to keep his name flowing.

Haha. Actually, there's no sweet backstory here (although I wish I had one). I wanted to sign up for TYM, and I quickly needed a name. Just threw two words together that sounded cool.

I signed up after lurking for months, from mid-2011 through the beginning of 2012. Found the site after hearing someone shout it out on commentary. Stumbled across Perfect Legend vs. Tom Brady on Youtube and thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. Had never seen high level FG play before. Started watching more videos, streams, eventually quick-picked the name and signed up here in 2012 to post.

Super happy that I became a part of this community.

This name came from when I used to play Counter-Strike 1.6 via LAN a long time ago. Seeing people use different names for the game was interesting, so I thought it would be the cleverest thing ever to take my own name and add the word "Killer" at the end, with everything spelled in full caps. English is not the native language here, which made the name sound even more badass and edgy.
And, well, since then I've never bothered to make another one that stuck as well as this.

I was a classical history and literature major -- my PSN username is eleusiswalks, which is a reference to the Eleusinian Mysteries, a center of cult worship in Ancient Greece.

Imperatrix is Latin for 'Empress' and Sindel is my favorite MK character, so that predicated this username on MK sites. On other FGC sites I've used the usernames PoisonKiss (referencing the Final Fight/Street Fighter character) and MatureVice (referencing the KOF characters). It depends what games I'm talking about! At some point I should probably make them consistent across websites.

My name is Chris. I added isnice (is nice), because I am not, so it's funny.

Well I first had an Xbox and I got live when I was 11, my name on there is TigerBlood117 because I thought the Charlie Sheen rant was really funny and I said I had tiger blood and my best friend said he had Adonis DNA so it was just kinda funny/fun, the 117 because I’m a massive Halo fan

Then I got a PS4 and my name is TreeWilly2000, I was gonna be free willy because my name is Will, and it was something some of it friends called me and I thought it was funny, but since it was taken I just did tree willy because tree rhymes with free and I was 14 and honestly pretty dumb

My tym name I have because when I made this account I was on a massive Dexter bender and I once again thought it sounded kinda funny, but in retrospect I probably wouldn’t choose the name now but oh well

My nickname is "Mão" [Portuguese word for "hand"]. I'm also very Darth Maul fan. The sound of the word "Maul" looks like the portuguese pronunciation of "Hand", so a friend of mine made the pun and here we are

My tag when I used to play call of duty competitively was JoeKer (cause my name is Joe) and I wanted something that would fit MK better. So in 2012 when I tried to get into competitive MK9, I wanted to become a competitor and play with the best. So, I was wondering what kind of "Mortal Kombat" name I could give myself to fit in better. Therefore, The Kompetitor was born haha

Yes you may I would be honored lol

I was huge into the now deceased game (RIP) City of Heroes and my handle was actually a character I used at the time (early to mid 00's). Naming convention fit the theme of the super group and it just sort of stuck. Phonetically I just liked how it sounded and recycled it for my PSN.

TL/DR: I'm a nerd.
