Rebel without a scene
I ordered one from AllFightSticks. They were EXTREMELY responsive to my inquiries. He stayed in touch the whole time and kept me updated throughout. It was a little more expensive than Hitbox but I got to choose some options. I'd call it a semi-custom. I just picked button colors and went with a standard enclosure in black.

It has been shipped out and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. I can't say enough good things about the experience thus far. The folks over at Hitbox should take notice to see how things are supposed to be done. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Sucks that it didn't work out with hitbox. I kinda lucked out and bought mine before they were out of stock or whatever it is that's going on with hitbox right now. Regardless, you will love playing on the hitbox style controller, they are amazing.

I think it's probably better off. I probably got a better product. I got the colors I prefer, easily modifiable case, easy to switch PCB for next gen, and touchpad support. More importantly, I got it from someone who actually gives a damn enough to respond to a simple question.

thanks guys. considering buying a hit box like thing from marvelous customs........

Of course, I say this every time a fighting game comes out......

i got mine (DIY) from Jasen

Has anyone had any issues with inputs? I'm finding d1-db2 (Fate) isn't working. My fingers are a little too fast from piano years, but if I slow it down to get it to work the opponent can block the glyph.

Attempted both with and without input shortcuts.

I got mine on Monday from Allfightsticks. Very well built. Feels like a quality product. Very pleased with it.

The transition from pad... God kill me. So bad at the game again (and I was never very good). Dashing up to people and just standing there, empty jump ins, etc. Kind of hilarious actually. I imagine it will take 2-3 weeks to feel somewhat normal again.
I'm a big PC gamer so I had this delusion that it'd come more naturally being that I'm so used to keyboard/mouse. That has absolutely nothing to do with muscle memory and fighting games. When you have to think about your inputs, you're fucked lol

Stop. As a Hitbox user myself please don't fight people until you're acclimated with it. Since you're making the transition and learning something new your brain and hands need to build that muscle memory and you don't want to develop bad habits while learning that. Stay in practice mode for a few week depending on how long you play a day and just relearn all your combos with your main. Doing everything on both sides and if your hand starts to cramp up take a 5 minute breather and then go back to it. Also bear in mind that since everything is so precise and clean if an input doesn't come out try slowing up your motions so they hit clean. Hitbox also has some tutorials here. Some are for Street Fighter, but as far as motions and tips they help immensely. After you get adjusted and can do things on the fly with ease then play the AI or friends so your hands can start doing these motions when needed. And always remember that everything is hard at FIRST on hitbox, but then you'll be doing everything with ease. Enjoy and hope this helps.

I'm really hoping someone has a fix for this.

So, I've had my PS4 hitbox for months now and it's been working flawlessly. Until today. For what ever reason, after a couple minutes it'll just stop working and become completely unresponsive.

On the PS4 itself nothing will pop up until I unplug the hitbox. After I unplug the hitbox the PS4 will say to plug in a controller. When I do plug back in the hitbox the PS4 won't pick it up.

I've tried cleaning the USB ports on the PS4 as well as the USB itself on the hitbox and that seemed to fix the problem for a few minutes. But then suddenly it just stopped working again.

I've even reinstalled the latest firmware and that did nothing. At first when i tried to reinstall the firmware my laptop wasn't picking up the hitbox until after I cleaned the USB itself. So I'm assuming that it's the USB on the hitbox that's the culprit. But I've looked at it and even compared it to another USB and nothing looks suspicious.

I'd completely understand this happening if I treated my hitbox like shit. But I've been babying it since I've gotten it. So I have no clue as to what could be the possible cause. I've texted the guys at hitbox 20 minutes ago explaining my dilemma. But so far I haven't gotten a response back.

I'm hoping it's not just faulty wiring. But even that seems unlikely because I just opened up My hitbox for the first time and nothing seems cut or loose or anything. I'm really at a loss here. Hopefully someone has a possible fix that doesn't include me shelling out another $200 for a new hitbox.

Good luck getting a response from these guys. Some people has to do charge backs because they wouldn't respond.

I just emailed them. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon. If not, then well, I guess I'll just see about getting my money back from them.

I've recently heard how shady hitbox has been ever since that whole "smashbox" fiasco. If they don't want address the problem for selling me something that broke on its own. Then I'll do whatever I can to get my money back from them.

There was probably a ps4 system update, check on the hitbox site if theyve put out a new firmware version

God Confirm

We're all from Earthrealm. If not, cool pic brah.
Guess I never shared my Hitbox with you guys

I built the box from custom plexiglass parts (and gold mirror on the base). Artwork custom made by Purple Grimace Designs who did an amazing job of translating my instructions into something even better than I envisioned.

iPhone quality photos but I don't own a legitimate camera to do it justice.

Terrible times breed terrible things, my lord.
So I gave my hitbox to my son a few months ago in hopes he'll get better at dbfz & tekken like he wanted too. I also wanted to justify in buying another one that was about to be on the market.

So I bought most of the parts I would need to attempt to build one today from focus attack. But they were out of stock with a few items.

So I was wondering if anyone else has modded one recently that can point me into the right direction.

So here are my questions which I hope I can get a good response to or again pointed into the right direction.

1. The push in pcb feet. Do they fit in the original hitbox case? I was think of using double sided tacks or my glue gun since the other pcb feet comes with the double sided tape.

2. 24mm gun metal sanwa push buttons. Does anyone else know anorther site where I can get it. They seem to be out every where.

3. The actual feet for the hitbox? Where can I buy them besides actually waiting another 1000 years for hitbox to respond.

4. The Neutrik usb a to b dustcover. I have one for RJ45, and HDMI which I'm thinking of drilling new holes into the case for and getting extra harness but my work knows I stole the other Neutrik parts besides the cable covers.

5. 4 pin harness PS L3-R3 touchpad for Brooks ufb.

I guess that's all really. I'm really anxious to hit this new project fast and hard but I still need more help.

Thanks.

Also looking for a site that's one stop shop all as shipping & customs be a bit pricey here in Canada.

The Acid Hand
Hi guys,

I searched on the forums but couldn’t find a place that could directly answer what I’m trying to do.

I have a ps3 hitbox with modified translucent buttons. I’m a noob and know little to nothing about customizing things like my hitbox, so I’d like to know how can I make my Buttons light up when I hit them? What do I need to buy, and what’s the installation process like?

Thanks so much I’m advance.

I hope someone can help me with this, I have a similar issue. I had my hitbox built by Shadaloo.eu and I've dropped it a number of times, so it's showing its age. With that said, my current issue is also that either the controls become unsresponsive after a few minutes, or the last button I pressed gets held indefinitely ingame. I have to take out the USB and plug it back in to get it working again, but it's very annoying having to do this after every round. Does anyone have any idea what's causing this?

Hey, I have a normal PS4 hitbox and was wondering the best/any way to make it usable on an Xbox for mk11. I've read about converters but never had one and want to make sure i have up to date info. Anyone know ?

Well, my unofficial hitbox was at first only working on PS4, but I changed the board to this one http://www.brookaccessory.com/detail/06960737/. It was just a matter of reconnecting the buttons to the chip, not that hard and no soldering needed

This is my poor hitbox, it's not finished yet. I'll buy gamerfinger buttons ASAP and a proper case, but for the moment I'm gonna learn with it.

I have a bag full of Kailh switches from an old broken mechanical keyboard.
