2018 FIFA World Cup Thread

The anticipation is killing me
So Ronaldo can't even win a Spanish cup where it doesn't have too many relevant teams? Lol. See how this works against this logic? Anyways I refuse to believe one trophy weighs more than 3, including 3 awards where BOTH the said players competed in and Messi won 3 of the 4. Again to me that's the only thing Ronaldo's fans can say, Messi scored more goals, has more assists, won more trophies, but hey Madrid won a champions. Also need I remind you guys that the 2 most recent times Ronaldo won the player of the year Messi was injured both seasons and played half the games? I mean look, all I'm saying is that most people would give Messi the award if it ended today, we still have the World Cup, Argentina most likely is our, so ronaldo has a great chance of doing more and getting the award, like I've said many times, I'd have no problem with that, but don't try to convince yourselves that one champions where he was irrelevant in the final holds more weight that every other thing Messi won compared to him. Anyways it's a never ending debate, carry on.
Unfortunately despite all of that greatness you stated, the voters for WPOTY value moments more. So you saying that the logic is stupid that Ronaldo performs in two games outweighs Messi's consistent season is true. But that is the logic the voters use for some reason. A lot of the time these awards are based on moments. So while I don't agree with it, Ronaldo has WPOTY in the bag unless a Messi WC miracle happens.

We're finally seeing what you'd expect from a good team in this tournament.

I think Tunisia are going to tire quickly and Belgium will have it even easier in the last 20-30 minutes of the game.

Thank you Belgium for being the first team to finally actually impress.

Their defense is a typical Martinez defense though which is a bit worrying.

The commentator on German TV is extremely upset it's hilarious.

Felt like he was about to start cursing if Sweden didnt miss that chance for the 2nd goal moments ago

Believe in the hop kick
Germany's play looks like picking any 5-star team in FIFA, taking a red card with a defenceman on the first minute, then setting the green-to-red scale of defensive vs offensive from default to ultra offensive. Right down to holding down the button to keeper charge every time there is a counterattack :D
