Another thing that I think MK9 did right was idle poses. Cage is loose and quick so he kinda does that little "hop" and gets his feet off the ground and stays energetic. Same goes for Liu Kang and Sonya.

But in MKX those characters just kinda move their shoulders back and forth and their feet never leave the ground. It looks really weird and I hate it.

Aesthetically, MK9 is miles ahead of MKX. MKX is great graphically but otherwise its presentation was more or less a giant step back

I agree. Even though MKX has things like unique intros, honestly I would just end up skipping them so it never really made a difference.

MK9 had better idle animations, color usage, stage designs, background cameos (like how you can see Daegon and Reiko fighting on Pit), etc.

MKX has better fighting animations when you are punching and kicking, they fleshed out the stages more (honestly there was a lot of empty space on stages in MK9) and the graphics overall was a giant step up. But it just doesn't feel focused and is sloppy in a lot of areas, even in the story mode.

Example: in story when Kano and Kotal are fighting they are in the Outworld city area. But when it actually cuts to the fight so you can play, you are outside of the city in the marketplace. Things like that never happened in Injustice 1, Mortal Kombat 9, or even Injustice 2 if I remember correctly.

Love seeing PPJ's Sektor again. Man this nostalgia is killing me!

Dizzy vs King was Brutal ..... Dizzy is a whole new level , hope MK 11 bring mk 9 essence with UMK run button and mk armaggedon roster....

Dizzy gets slept on whenever he disappears. His early MKX Raiden was the highest level play at that stage of a game in NRS history

NRS buffed Cold way too much. It even froze the streaming at Combo Breaker.
