What's new

Head Bangers Hall

I might have to skip Slayer and go straight to Obituary, the Nile concert got canned because my nephews birthday is the same week. So any badass albums that came out recently?

Been playing Monster Hunter since its release. Themes in it are great but I found this channel that does Symphonic Metal covers of the unique themes in the game.

How is Monster Hunter? I’ve been looking for a single player lately and this game definitely looks interesting. I heard it was pretty addicting.

Edit: Didn’t realize it was online but still, how is it?

I didnt think I would l like it either. Now I play like 4 to 6 hours a night. All the weapons are good and different. Theres really not a whole lot that I can complain about in this game. Some veteran MH players say this game is easier than past games but you can still get fucked pretty quickly if your not playing smart or going to ham against some of the harder monsters. You can play solo too btw.

It's a goty candidate for me for sure.

Is Mastodon cool here
Mastodon is arguably my favorite band. I know there are some ridiculous drummers out there but Brann to me is so unique. He’s the main reason I got into them. Saw them the day Leviathan was released and was hooked ever since. I’m probably in the minority but I love the direction they’re going. Emperor of Sand is incredible. So yeah Mastodon is cool with me at least.

I purchased my F'N SLAYER! Tickets yesterday, first open air venue concert for me. Any tips? I'm excited to catch Behwmoth with them, it's been ten years since I've seen them. I might need to save up since I know I'm going to party like a mad man.

I also purchased the new D666 EP, here's a preview.

Lmao, it’s a sad time we live in when you need to stash money aside for concert beers. I’m doing the same, lol. $10 beers at the venue I’m going to. Shit’s so dumb.

At the Watain/D666 concert I spent over $100 bucks on mech and beer and food right after. $10 a beer is a crime, but at least the venue have some decent craft beers. I hope the have the behemoth beer available, I need to try that one.

I dig this band but I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Seeing Papa...I mean Cardinal Copia prance around is kind of silly. I think music videos are corny in general, excited for the Prequelle none the less. Any other Ghost fans out there or are they not EXTREME enough?

I saw Ghost with Iron Maiden last year and I thought they were boring as fuck. Every song has interesting aspects but never any payoff, and their riffs are meh. I was not impressed.

Braindead

I want Kronika to step on my face
This isn't exactly metal buuuuuuuut...

The closest I've gotten to crying in the last, idk, 15 years or something, was after watching this video:

I’ve been taking a trip down memory lane and have been listening to a lot of Deftones lately. Deftones for me were the band that got my foot into the world of Metal. They are the reason I started listening to bands like Slayer, Sepultura, Meshuggah, Sabbath, etc. They also got me to branch out and listen to bands like Depeche Mode, Bad Brains, Glassjaw and early Weezer. Waaaaay back in high school I tried styling my hair just like Chino’s lmfao. I had a huge man crush on this guy. The walls of my room were completely covered in Deftones posters and swag. Abe Cunningham was the reason why I bought my first drum kit. Yeah they don’t play 9000 BPM’s and they don’t growl like Cookie Monster, I’m sure some of you in here can’t stand them but I fucking love this band. Always have and always will. RIP Chi <3

Any way that’s my pathetic Deftones story. After all these years this riff still gets me hard
