Top 8 Results and Stream for Clutch 2018

For those of you out of the loop, there was indeed a tourney this weekend, and this one actually had some Injustice 2 action. Clutch 2018 in Indianapolis went down with some big names battling it out in the first event since the latest patch. If you didn't guess from the picture above, Echo Fox Sonic Fox took home first place and finally evolved into his second form as a result.

Hopefully we won't be seeing Max Power Golden Final Form Sonic until after the IPS finals, but that remains to be seen. As for the people who saw the brunt of his newfound powers, the Top 8 went as followed:

1st: EchoFox SonicFox
2nd: Burrito Voorhees (who sent Sonic to losers earlier in the tourney)
3rd: Grawlix
4th: GGA Shady
5th: #follow your dreams
5th: BxA Jackal
7th: Ragnarok Tyr
7th: Semi Evil Ryu

Overall, it was a really great look at the current state of the game. The Grand Finals ended with Red Hood vs. Swamp Thing, so it was definitely something different from what we've seen at the past few tourneys. If you want to catch the full thing, the archived Twitch footage can be found over here. If you want to catch some other games going on right now, the brackets and twitch streams can be found here. I know it's busy with God of War and Yakuza 6 out this week, but why not take a break with some FGC streams?

Are you not entertained!?
How I see the format of tournament related threads:
- [Tournament name]: Top8 results and stream (maybe somthing small in the name like "Big upset in top 16/8/grand finals" to stimulate hype).
- Spoiler free personal impressions and report with stream link.
- Results and personal impressions with spoilers in a spoiler tab.

Personally I don't mind spoilers more often than not, since it's always interesting to see the path to victory of the winner, but sometimes you just want a dumb watch, so spoilers may ruin it.

I usually do a full breakdown of things if I have a chance to watch, but we are still messing around with formats. Like I said above, if I see a noticeable increase in views with 'spoiler free' posts, I'll change things up from the norm, probably do something like you mentioned. If results posts have the same relative number of views as they normally get, I'll take that as the vocal minority just looking to whine and keep things as they have been. I'm not opposed to mixing it up, but if that's what people want, I need to see a response that shows that, ya know?

Just wanted to say thank you to every one that tuned in!

Also, did you guys catch the FT 10 exhibition between Ragnarok vs. BxA Jackal? If not, here it is:

Semi Evil Ryu... haven't heard that name in a while.
Hehe... I've been around, though I've been spending a lot of time raising my daughter with my girlfriend, so tournaments have been more or less put aside. I currently just go to my monthly local, as well as the Cincinnati monthly local. Only big tournaments I go to right now are Frosty Faustings and Combo Breaker (where I'm already signed up for Injustice 2, MK X, and MK 9 [which I'm REALLY looking forward to playing again]).

I will leave my seal on you!
The 3-0 comeback from follow your dreams with Starfire on Ragnarok's Scarecrow was awesome. Really glad he did it with Starfire.

Kudos to Sonic Fox for the win. I like the new Fox mask he got.
