So here's a new piece of information from the Injustice 2 Legendary Edition which NetherRealm has not commented on yet, fresh out of the oven (so fresh it might be a bit raw): it will also include a new set of achievements/trophies to be unlocked, similiarly to the new achievements/trophies from MKXL's release.

They are as follows:
Stay Free: Red Hood must defeat any opponent with the final hit coming from Gotham's Outlaw (Super)
Don't Get Caught Up in the Starfire: Starfire must defeat any opponent with the final hit coming from Starry Night (Super)
Killer Klones: Sub-Zero must connect 10 Klones during a match
Deep Fried: Black Manta must defeat any opponent with the final hit coming from Speared and Seared (Super)
Hidden - Kidd Thunder: Raiden must summon Kidd Thunder during a match.
Welcome to Hell: Hellboy must defeat any opponent with the final hit coming from Final Resting Place (Super)
Small but Mighty: Atom must defeat any opponent with the final hit coming from Atom Lunge (traited 2)
Demon Inside: Enchantress must defeat any opponent with the final hit coming from Out of Body Experience (Super)
Turtle Time: Win a match with each Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
My Minions: Darkseid must defeat any opponent after summoning each Parademon at least once.
Push Yourself Harder: Complete any 3 categories in Advanced Training or Strategy Training.
Growing Stronger: Reach level 30 with any character.

All of those award you with a bronze trophy on PS4, save for the last one, which is silver.

Money grab how? You cant buy gear, or credits, or regen tokens. Buying the Legendary doesn't give you anything you wouldn't be able to get otherwise.
You can max out levels I think. So before you could use source crystals to instant level a character to 20 but only after you've leveled one character to 20. I assume that's still the case with level 30.

So at the end of the day, there is a cash grab aspect to it but really it's not taking away from the game. For competitive players it doesn't matter at all and you still need to level a character to 30 and get gear so it's barely a competitive advantage in gear mode which at this point I have to think most people don't care about being competitive. The whales still get to buy stuff and the rest of the playerbase doesn't suffer for it. If you were going to get me to accept microtransactions, this is the sort of way to do.

Na, from what I saw you cant use crystals to level up to 30. I have all my characters at lvl 20 right now and there is no option to increase to 30.

My assumption is that you need to get at least one character to level 30 first like how it was with getting to level 20. That's kind of my point that even though you can buy your way to max level characters, you need to get one there first through the grind so it's not super cash grabby "pay to win" style. At least that's how it was before the patch.

Kid Thunder comes out randomly after you take the first life bar correct? In between rounds essentially. Is there a strategy to get him to come out?

Did you win a specific way?

I'v won with each Turtle on and off line.
I'v won with my last hit being from there Super.
Nope, I was doing one of the Multiverse events. Each time I won I'd select a new turtle and had it within 4 matches. I didn't win a specific way or anything. Strange...

In addition to level up with crystals, now EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF GEAR IN YOUR STORAGE is deprecated which forces you to either grind for that collection again or spend.

Leveling and farming leveled gear on a fighting game (this is NOT an RPG) is one of the things that I dislike the most from this game. Now I need to spend extra hours of AI controled characters fighting infinite towers to level up because of the level system which feels really wrong on a fighting game.

I actually agree with you, levelling everyone and all the gear up is going to be a massive pain in the ass and I want to punch whoever it was that actually wanted for the level cap to be raised.

Getting to 30 is so annoying, I love levelling up in RPGs, in a FG not so much.
If you're just playing for fun/sets you can level up pretty easily. I've barely had any time to play and have my Beetle and Cheetah up to level 23.

It's not something you really have to stress or rush as most people here play competitively and that doesn't impact that.

Alternatively, if you just want to get to level 30 without the investment of time you can always just have the AI do survival for you.

The thing is, most people care about like 10% of the cast. Even for "resources gain" (high level gear sells for more than low level gear) you should have every character at max level to optimize your loot boxes, so you have to spend time letting the AI fight through towers to level up those 25+ characters that you don't care about.

Not with the new augment feature. There’s a “what I want” augment the increase character bias gear drops quite significantly from my experience so far. I understand optimizing but like said if you only care about a small percentage then the augment is nice. Sorry for the grammar I’m on mobile and driving don’t tell anyone.
