IGN name 10 best DC Elseworld stories......featuring Injustice!

There's been a lot of really amazing Elseworld/multiverse stories in comic books and DC does them arguably better than anybody. With some of comics most iconic characters to choose from and with decades of potential jumping off points, it really shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody that DC have some of the most famous, and infamous, 'what-if-stories', from Kingdom Come to Red Son to Gotham by Gaslight.




Recently, the Injustice comic book series has taken its place in that pantheon, with it's compelling story telling and character development developing a life beyond it's initial function as a simple tie in to Injustice Gods Among Us. Now, the consistent excellence of the Injustice comic book series has been recognised by IGN as one of the top DC elseworld stories.And, no spoilers here, it doesn't exactly scrape the top 10....it's pretty damn high up there!

I got the print issues of the first four years before I had to curtail my comic habits a bit and that Olympus storyline put Inj1 comics on the chopping block. Every issue written by Tom Taylor is highly recommended! Gonna grab the back trades of inj1 and 2 soon to catch up.

Holly Shit it actually made it to Top 2! Excellent news indeed. I've read the whole IJ1 series and also the Ground Zero alternative canon (as well as the MKX comic series) and they were all awesome reads, and I'm going through the IJ2 series right now and it's just as awesome. IJ2 roles on baby!

I’m crying now cause I should have totally picked this up on first print being a fan!

Warning.... Anybody who has not read this series yet and now attempts to read this series will get addicted more than Crack. I have a friend who is NOT a D.C. fan, read the trade paperback of Year One. He came back to me like a crack fiend for the trade paperbacks of Year 2 through 5. It's that good. You have been warned.

Injustice is definitely one of DC's best alternate universe stories within their multiverse.
