Enchantress gameplan?

So after playing with her for a while i tried different approaches, zoning (against some characters), mixup heavy rushdown or just playing neutral and i'm not quite sure how she was intended to be played.

It feels to me like she has good tools all around, but struggles against characters that excel in some way, for example heavily defensive characters like aquaman or rushdown characters like flash (i get rekt by flash way more than i'm comfortable to admit).

So the question i have is how do you like to usually act as enchantress? Do you play her defensively, agressively, neutral oriented, everything bit by bit depending on situation? And what do you think works most of the time?

I don’t think there is a specific way you play with her all the time... she more imo a counter player and reader ... you have to play differently against every single character since every movelist is different. She has everything to counter all characters in the game but a lot you have to read or get lucky with rng with her hexes.

Every time i get hit by WW's shield toss in a distance that i can't punish it i feel so happy .!! specially when it goes through Enchantress special barrier to stop projectiles that stop certain projectiles....

Yeah, this isn't fun for Ench but then again who does have fun playing Against WW? Her d2 has more horizontal range than most character's normals lol.

WW's shield toss has never counted as projectile. It goes through Cold's ice wall, doesnt get ate by Subs MB ice ball. Blows through atrocious shield.

Its always been unique like that, but it also disappears on hit, has a shit ton of recovery and is punishable form mid screen by most forward advancing normals.

The WW mu is like 9-1 for WW, she absolutely bodies Enchant in the mid range and can stay safely at safe shield toss range all match.

I completely agree.

She has different tools for different characters. Her trait should always be utilized, and her hex's should only be utilized in matches where she can safely throw it out. For any rushdown characters, her stopped trait is a perfect tool to throw out a hex. For zoners, her projectile shield is her main barrier for hexing. But for characters that can break through the shielding I would only recommend hexing after a freeze (f23MB).

Her normals are phenomenal in the neutral. f2 and b2 are great at covering distance. b123 is a far reaching and safe low starting string. 122 is a safe and semi-far reaching overhead string. If you ever want to continue any pressure you should always end your combos in her bf2. If they don't roll, you're in a safe distance to throw out b1 and f3. If they do roll, you can do an extended f3 or sometimes catch them with another bf2. Bf2 is stupid safe at its max distance, so always be willing to throw it out.

If you have your trait and want to continue pressure, you could end any combo with her standing 2 into trait. This nullifies their wakeup, and typically they will want to either run away or mb roll forward. If they run you can start a hex, and if they mb roll you can easily catch them with a b2 or f2.

She has soooo many tools, and is a very set up heavy character. In the simplest essence, her gameplan is to use every tool she has that works in the specific matchup.
