Btw, does anyone know if it's possible to set-up the game so that it runs in windowed mode on PC? I've searched around the internet and most people say it's not possible (without some 3rd party software).
People on PC have tried pretty much everything. The game does not allow it
 
Anyway, I'm very excited to see some high level play, hopefully players will give it a go.
The best thing you can do is sub to Reo_MK's twitch channel. He streamed himself and Cossner testing 2.00 back in early December. Waiting for him to stream more MK9.

I hope pro players will evetually give it a go and play this mod, would love to see some high level play.
In order for pro players to get really interested in this game you'll have to (*in Talos' voice*) put the money on the table. After all, that's what defines a profession.

Other than that, you can indeed see some good players playing this on Reo's stream.

BTW, looking at the health bar, it doesn't look to me like Shang's throw recovers 5% of his health back (looks less than 5%) or my eyes are deceving me. I was doing his throw and comparing the health meter change against d+4 on hit (practice says d+4 is 3% on hit), d+4 looks to do more damage than Shang's throw recovers health. It could just be my eyes though...

I did find the var that gave shang health back (accidentally made it so it took shang's health away) it's a negative value.
It's possible damage scaling is giving back 4% health instead of 5% despite being set to 5%.

Hmm... Just played an arcade ladder with Mileena and she can no longer combo with u+4 following a JIP that hits, the cpu block the u+4. I'm pretty sure she used to be able to combo with u+4 following a JIP before.

Not sure what changed but kung laos more difficult mid screen combo now does the same damage or only 1% more over his simplier midscreen BNB. The combo I refer to is this

Tele 3(JumpIpunch) 2 1 , spin, jk dive kick, dive kick, 2 1 1+3(2)....VS
tele 3(JiP) 2 1 , spin, jk dive kick, 1, 1, 2 1 1+3(2)
wtf are you talkin about with the 2nd combo ive never seen anyone do that midscreen

It's unknown how the AI handles these moves, so tough luck, can't fix it for the time being.
Well, I'll give my negative feedback on that change. While I like being able to do Shang's f4xxCloseSkull pressure easily, it messes up my muscle memory real bad.

Loving new raiden though.

it just depends how it hits, baraka most likely wont get too many future changes but we stil have some more testing and adjusting to do. the way it launches isnt a problem though if youre concerned bhout that lol. but hes gettin a dmg nerf so that in futre might not do as much as it is now

This was so very fun to play, and you guys have done a good job with fixing cyrax, i tried every dirty piece of tech i could think of and the leaks seem sealed up.

The changes to projectile and chip damage are welcome, I wouldnt mind a 1% increase on some of them, but zoning needed to be neutered a bit.

Jade was exceptionally fun to play with.

I have been looking all over for a ps3 with the old firmware or whatever, have to resort to my homies pc to play right now and i am trying to grind this shit haha

The PS3 doesn't have to currently be on an old firmware to CFW. It has to be able to downgrade to the old firmware. Rebug 4.81.2 requires that your PS3 must be able to downgrade to FW 3.56

MK9 TE 2.10 will be released soon.
It will not have custom skins yet, but it will feature an additional stage, and classic music will now play by default.
Character balancing will be polished up and there will new netcode vars that work better than the last ones (I'm still working towards fully fixing the netcode though)

I'm working right now on updating the main page.
I should warn people that the PS3 version needs more testing as it's unclear what's going on with it.
PC version is working fine so no worries on that end.

What was the reason for this change? Not being picky, I'm just seriously curious.

Edit: also, does that mean that the 3 can be neutral ducked after blocking the B2?

It says in the patch notes for Kitana:

F+2,1 last hit now has the same hit reaction as the second hit of 1,1 only for grounded opponents. *

However, this is not the case in-game, her f2,1 still has the old launching hit reaction (and thank god it does since the move has been made more negative on block and whiff). I hope it stays like that.
